I have enjoyed doing this over the past 10 years and appreciated those who have told me that they have also appreciated my hobby (no I am not stopping ... unless the moderators tell me to not post anymore).

I now have to set up a spreadsheet (just roll-over from this year of course and not start from scratch) without Philip for the first time since 1947. My retirement hobby is proceeding and I hope to finish 1952 - 54 this year.

Wow - did you go backwards as well ? sorry you are finishing up 1952?

I started in 1952 with the intention of doing the Queen's reign. Then back via each monarch until either I get bored, some illness that stops me or I die.

I have two issues:

1. Unavailability of the years 1986 - 1997. The Times online doesn't have those years archived, the State Library of NSW here in Sydney doesn't put the CC online and as it is for personal research and not for professional research won't let me access the hard copies and Macquarie University is the same (as a graduate of that university I pay for a reader's card but they still won't let me access the hard copy and when they digitised they also only digitised selected pages, whereas they had the entire paper on microfiche, which they no longer have available).

2. The CC, prior to 1997 (or sometime in the missing years) doesn't include any overseas engagements e.g. the Queen's six month overseas trip in 1953-4 has the events when she left and when she returned but for the six months in between The Queen and Philip did nothing (yeah sure but that is the problem).
