I wasn't aware Cressida was swimming in money. There were reportedly issues where she had trouble paying for plane tickets. And didn't her father file for bankruptcy? Or was that just a rumor?

The father of Prince Harry’s latest lady friend Cressida Bonas was branded ‘untrustworthy’ in a court case over the divorce settlements from his first marriage.

The prince’s rumoured fling’s father,Jeffrey Bonas, was forced to borrow money to cover the payout to his first wife Elspeth after their divorce in 1986.

As he was unable to pay the £1.2m settlement he borrowed £350,000 from NatWest Bank, according to re-surfaced court documents.

Despite ‘a number of arrangements’, the Oxford graduate was unable to repay the bank, increasing the debt to £578,000 and risking the flat of a friend who has stepped in as guarantor for the loan.

I don't know if she is engaged, but she posed totally differently than she did on previous red carpets. I noticed that though. If so, I think she wanted the focus to remain on the event and not her ring.

Pippa has been shot enough to know full well how to draw attention. There is little chance she wasn't fully aware the talk she would start with that pose.

Meh... a ring tan would be as much of a tell as a ring and Pippa does have a lamentable tendency to go for a deep tan.

To be honest, if it's true, I can't begrudge anyone who's just gotten engaged the joy that it brings them or their right to be as public or as coy about it as they want. Why should she have to behave a certain way in order to please a bunch of people on the internet?
 
Per the Daily Mail article, the engagement just happened on Saturday. Don't know if she would have a ring tan line after 3 days especially when she was pretty tan to begin with.

Interesting. Since it's only Monday, I'd interpreted "last Saturday" as the 9th; "on Saturday", written on a Monday, would denote the 16th, IMO. With that said, I'm sure that the article was written to be deliberately ambiguous.

I won't be surprised to find out that it was the 9th and that the "housewarming" party SS wrote about this morning was actually an announcement to their friends and family.

And maybe, just maybe the happy couple hadn't gotten around to personally telling everyone as of yet. And when I mean everyone, I am talking about family and friends who don't get their news from Social Media. And they didn't want them to hear the news from anyone else?


Excuse me, Cousin Violet? Would you care to comment about James and Pippa getting engaged? What you didn't know?! They didn't tell you?

If she is engaged she may have signed a deal with a media outlet. My question is did she walk around around the whole time covering her hand ?

People have been posting photos on Twitter where she has both hands by her side and I can't see a ring.

Maybe she is engaged, but I doubt the DM knows anything. Just more speculation, hoping to eventually be correct.

Pippa has been 'engaged' since 2013

The 9th was championship finals weekend at Wimbledon where Pippa was at 4 times during this year's tournament including the 8th. Why would they go hiking in the Lake District then?

Until there is an announcement I am not holding my breath. It seems any time those 2 go away, either tropical or now the lake district, he proposes. I also doubt if she is engaged, she hasn't been on the phone all weekend telling everyone she knows.

If you look at US media (US weekly, Eonline, People) their source is the Daily Fail. If the Fail actually gets something right it is by accident. They keep printing the story, bound to be right eventually :ROFLMAO:

Oh great! Now this story is spreading around all over the place like some kind of rash! The Daily Fail has a lot to answer for! :lol:

All the same, if she is I've been expecting it, (unlike Jennifer Aniston's dozens of pregnancies that kept women's magazines occupied for the last twenty years.) James Matthews is older than her other boyfriends and has always been keen on her judging by reports. I never got the same feeling about Nico. So if she is, I'm expecting a late autumn wedding for Pippa!

It's spreading far and wide enough now that I'm starting to think it's probably true. I hope so! It would be nice to see a wedding for Pippa.
 
Everyone is saying it is. We might see pictures of the happy couple in the next day or two? It isn't like Buckingham Palace is going to confirm it. I'm glad no matter who she is with their are engagement rumours let's hope this sticks.

Channel 9 has just reported news of the engagement on its evening news here in Melbourne. So, it's official then! :lol:
 
I hope we get to see Prince George as a member of the wedding party :)

For me, the problem is Richard Kay, much like Katie Nicholl always claims a level of detail that is impossible to know.

He gives a play by play as if her were there in person to witness it.

I hope she does get engaged, but I don't think the DM has any real clue. Just the usual speculation. One of these times it will get it right.

And clearly, no ring.
