that's so cool! I don't hope MM will never be influenced by the style of her mother-in-law. but who knows... In the 60s and 70s Sonja was a very elegant princess and noone expected her to wear "such dresses"one day (the yellow one )...

I'm so proud of myself- after months of just doing these for myself, I've finally gotten an imageshack and can post them! I've done a bunch, so I'll start with...let's see....um... ruling ladies. That's it, the consorts.

Queen Sofia of Spain

She is wearing a lovely turquoise gown worn by actress Blythe Danner (Gweneth Paltrow's mom) at the Emmy awards two (?) years ago

Grand Duchess Maria Theresa

Lalla Salma, Princess of Morocco

In a lovely Lavender dress worn by Marcia Cross at the SAG awards 2006, by Vera Wang
(I love the contrast between Lalla's red hair and the purple of the dress- it shouldn't go, but it does)

A pretty day outfit, which is a nice change to the suits she normally wears.http://img292.imageshack.us/my.php?i...youtfitpd9.jpg

In light of her happy announcement last month, here is a gorgeous maternity dress for her. She'd look stunning in it, and the color is great for her. http://img370.imageshack.us/my.php?i...tydressvl0.jpg

Well all, I've done some more.
I think Mette-Marit needs some new dresses, so here are some options.

Pretty in Pink I love MM in pastel, and this is sexy, feminine, and unique. Elie Saab
http://img435.imageshack.us/my.php?i...nkdresspx0.jpg

Flirty Blue Frills Dress worn by Charlize Theron to Academy Awards, 2005, by John Galliano for Dior Couture. I love this dress, especcially on MM- it's so pretty! And so perfect for her.
http://img478.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ondressfg6.jpg

Blue Beauty Because I love Mette-Marit in pastels and soft colors, I found a lovely gown in a blue, with lavender and grey hints. Lacy, feminine, and somewhat fitted, it's what I think MM needs. Dress by Elie Saab.
http://img291.imageshack.us/my.php?i...uedressmz8.jpg

Short and Sparkly If Mette-Marit went to a semi-formal event, she might need a fabulous cocktail length dress to wear. We have seen Letizia wearing gala cocktail dresses recently, and so MM might need one. It would also fit in with her more casual style, maybe- not wearing full length dresses. I just like this dress- it has great color (the soft green is stunning on her, as we know from her visit to England just prior to the birth of Sverre Magnus), a touch of bling to make her stand out and look special (and this way she doesn't have to wear much jewellery), and is just a great cut for her, I think. Dress by Elie Saab.

In case you haven't heard: there's a royal baby boom! So I have created some looks for those royal baby bumps!

Crown Princess Letizia of Spain: (see post 20, by me)

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark: a gorgeous red gown worn by Cate Blanchett at the 2004 Golden Globes, designed by Donna Karan. I love this deep red on Mary, with her creamy complexion and dark hair.
http://img345.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ternitybw3.jpg

Crown Princess Maxima of the Netherlands: I was inspired to put this dress on Maxima by the conversations in the "Royals in Purple" thread, talking about the wonderful dress she wore to the wedding of CP Felipe and Letizia. This gown was worn by Catherine Zeta-Jones to the 2003 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, when she was nominated for Chicago, and expecting her daughter, Carys. I liked it on her, and I love it on Maxima.
http://img457.imageshack.us/my.php?i...rnitydrti4.jpg

Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium: I know Mathilde isn't pregnant, but I kind of think she will have another baby, (at least I hope she will), and here is a dress I think she should wear. She has great legs, so she would be able to carry it off.
