Crown Princess Mary's Skin Care and Beauty Regime

I think this whole ....a person looks good for their age ..... is quite fascinating and somewhat unsophisicated and frankly am sick it. Mary has definitely changed in the looks department and with all the services at her command now, so she should have, this has absolutely nothing to do with age IMO. Princess Caroline has the worst appearance IMO why she has spent so much time believing incorrectly as it turns out the rules do not apply to her ie stay out of the sun, and smoking is not ok.
Mary has a lovely complexion which she looks after in a way she perhaps could not afford or not be bothered doing in single life. I think that is reason she looks changed....

Okay! Enough! Please try to avoid personal attacks, which seems to be where this thread was headed.

Thanks!

Nothing new but detailied on who does what.

...A team of stylists helps Mary choose clothes, accessories, hair style and skin products. Mary's stylist and friend Anja Camilla Alajdi gives her advice about clothes and accessories and make-up artist, hairstylist and friend Soren Hedegaard gives her advice about make-up and hairstyles. Meanwhile facialist Ole Henriksen advises her on skin care...

A lighter touch with the makeup would be good. But I hope she stays as she is and doesn't go the route of (...) Queen Sylvia.

Close ups of Mary's skin & make up.

To me Mary looks her age with wrinkles and her skin is not in the best condition. Make up & blush are far too harsh for my taste.

And yes, I completely agree with the bold part of Emmily's post!

It's funny, I was just showing my teen daughter pics of the crown princess and she said," mummy, she looks so young",and then when she saw close ups of her, with some deep etched smile wrinkles around her mouth and eyes, she said, here she looks like 50. I think the crown princess's skin has improved, with the help of facials, a better diet, good makeup etc. (..)

I think she looks fantastic for her age, about looking 50, i dont think so a woman a7 50 is loosing her face countour, saging cheeks and neck and she has a perfect neck!

I also didn't think so, but the my daughter, who had never seen a pic of the crown pss, was startled at the difference...from far she is thin, beautiful, great dressed, very youthful, from near, I the commoner, working mum of 4,at 39 have bettter skin than her...

Lines and wrinkles are two different things and the Crown Princess does not have the latter.

Mary has smile lines around the eyes and fine lines around the mouth which are no doubt the result of excessive smiling and sun exposure over the course of her life. These lines are purely superficial as they only effect the upper dermis.

However wrinkles are caused by the degradation of the skins structural components and effect not only the upper dermis, but the mid and lower dermis as well which results in the appearance of deep lines and sagging of the skin.

You are correct in your definition of smile lines, which also is caused by having a hectic life, and stress in my opinion, and having to smile at the same time.

:previous: Oh definitly. Her age, the climate in which she grew up and the busy lifestyle she now leads are, I'm sure, all contributing factors.

Though to be honest, I don't think Mary looks older than her age.

I was wondering if anyone knows what makeup products she uses.? I have read in the thread that she may use Estee Lauder products and a famous makeup artist, but does anyone know if there is anyway of knowing what she uses? She looks so gorgeous and I have been looking at photos, but cant quite figure out what she uses.

She's using skin care products by Ole Henriksen.

How we can be s sure she uses Ole Henriksen?

Because he got himself in trouble early on when he published that fact.

Ole Henriksen apologized and has now by all accounts been forgiven.

So I was wrong in regards to my last remark after the translation back in 2008.

Muhler! wow I guess he is out of the picture fro Mary and may be even his products are out for her, after that she may be decided to go with differents products, we will never know, but I guess it was not very clever for Ole, he should had kept his mouth shut!

True, very true, GT! I believe the Crown Princess was a follower of Ole Henrikson, right? From what I know of him, he is one of Hollywood's top skin care gurus.

Really? I think not.

Princess Mary looks better now than ever | Daily Mail Online

I don't see a fountain of youth, I think Mary looks her age and is well groomed and styled. Like all other CPs, she has the money to look after her looks and she uses it.

I agree with you 200%
My daughter and husband got for my birthday a gift card for a laser treatment for my face. Call Laser genesis. It was a great experience of course only once it is not enough at least you need a treatment of 3, but with even one I can see some difference. And the esthetician explain me all the different treatments that she has, Wish I could do all of them! So you can imagine what she has at her finger tips?
