Best dressed at P.Charles 60th birthday: Infanta Cristina

Princess Mathilde was best of these pics, though I argree she was very shiny.

The best dressed at P.Charles 60th birthday is P.Maxima

Without question, I believe that Mathilde was the best dressed and most elegant of all the ladies at the party. She was understated, elegant, and appropriately outfitted in both clothing and jewels. I think she is simply quite graceful and in many ways reminds me of Princess Grace--the epitome of elegance.

I'm referring to Maxima's dress:you can never say that a red gown designed by Valentino looks like it belongs to Moulin Rouge or it has something to do with the Carnival.No,no,no.Never.

The Queen and Camilla looked lovely.
Maxima had the most beautiful dress, but her hair was awful, too puffy.
Mathilde's dress was OK, not flattering to her figure (ex. the new picture from Hola).
Mary or MC looked good for a Halloween party, MC's hair was cool, but not for poor Chuck's birthday dinner.
Victoria's dress was very darling the first time she wore it. After so many times, it became very boring.
Cristina's dress was OK, her sandals and earrings were terrible. Someone should tell her to pluck her thick eyebrows which looked so unattractive in the pictures taken close by.
No picture showing the whole look of the dress of Letizia or Rania.
Overall the clothes wise is quite a disappointment, nothing compared to the Danish or the Spanish wedding in 2004.

Oh, well, I have to agree with you on the Danish and Spanish weddings. That was a fabulous display of gowns and tiaras--who can forget Queen Silvia in that stunning gown with the amethysts? She eclipsed everyone that day (in my own humble opinion)

the Queen of England followed by camilla festive regal and elegant both.

I've thought about it and I think that Mary missed the mark this time. She was dressed for something like a nice dinner or the theater, but not for a formal dress party. I'm not saying she didn't look nice, she just missed the mark this time. As well as Marie-Chantal.

Maltilde look fabulous. Maxima look fun and stunning. The Queen must start wearing some color. Camilla looks dowdy.

Princess Mathilda and princess Maxima are the best dressed.

My vote goes to Mathilde!
Mathilde's dress was perfect for a Crown Princess and suited her very well;
Queen Elisabeth was really elegant, a perfect dress for an 82 years old Queen;
Camilla's dress was really disappointing. She owns by far better evening gowns;
Maxima's Valentino gown was very beautiful. Too bad many people here can't see the difference between a Valentino glamorous gown and a fun party dress.

I really like Cristina's dresses that night!

My voice goes also to Princess Mathilde of Belgium.

Máxima!! She looked stunning in that Valentino

I think I erased my post!

It's interesting Marie-Chantal and Mary wore similar outfits. Both attend fashion shows and follow the trends......this must be "in" for Fall.

Since these ladies are my only options:

Queen Elizabeth
Maxima's 2nd.

Sorry I forgot to ask if there's a thread where I can see the other ladies' gowns??

I thought that Queen Elizabeth looked absolutely beautiful. The color was so soft and elegant. She reminded me of candlelight. It is difficult to find beautiful things to wear when you are older, but she looks fabulous. IMO, it was difficult to decide between the Queen and Mathilde. Mathilde also looked gorgeous. Her dress was perfect.

Could we do a poll of the worst-dressed guest at the birthday party? I have a feeling that Marie-Chantal would win easily win that title.

How very odd---500 or so guests and only a handful of pictures

I liked Sophie's Wessex's gown best (unfortunately she's not one of the options in this poll...). Out of these ladies, I think Mathilde looked the best. A simple, classic dress... really nice. :flowers:

I havent added her since I didnt find a full view shot of her dress, but if you did, please feel free to send it to me and I will add it in the poll and change the votes of whom would like to vote for her for who already voted:flowers:

Dazzling

Change my vote, please, DAZZLING. My vote was meant for QEII and, mistakenly, went to the Duchesse´s, that boring rose dress. Thanks. :ermm:

In my opinion,Princess Mary was the best dressed.She looked gorgeous.:angel:
I don't like Princess Mathide's dress.:eek:

C.) Princess Mathilde of Belgium

It seems that I am not the only one who thinks that she looked the best! :)

I voted for Maxima's red gown!At least it was impressive and fashionable.
I'm so disappointed by both Mary's & MC's choices.Why all this black?

I also voted for Maxima's. I think, Crown Princess Mathilde is a very beautiful woman, but I'm not so fond of her style, always a bit frumpy JMO.

My best dressed is Mathilde. Her gown was so timeless and beautiful. Here is a photo of her repeating the gown at a recent event.

My worst dressed is Mary, Marie-Chantal, and Maxima.
