i'm new here....who's reza pahlavi?

Hello Nadia and welcome!

Reza Pahlavi is the eldest son of the late Shah of Iran and his wife Farah, Emperess of Iran.

I used to have a "wicked" crush on him in my teen years. LOL

Peace. Zara

Is Cyrus Reza considered now as the Shah of iran, is this true?
I am asking because even european royals who are in exile still "keep or use" outside of their countries of origin, their titles and also go to their sons.
Cyrus Reza has now three daughters and not yet a son. Do you think if one of his girls can be "shahbanou" of iran if he can't have a son, or does the title will go to his brother and his children? Thanks.

The current Shah

Yes, Reza Pahlavi, the oldest son of the Shah Mohammad Rez Pahlavi and his wife the Shahbanou Farah is the current Shah of Iran. I think the current Shah hasn't renounced to his tittle and he uses it. O the other hand, it's true that he and his wife, Pricess Yasmine have three girls. According to His Majesty, it doesn't mean any problem because the only thing the Iranians should do i the case that the Monarchy returned in power was to change the legal Iranian Constitution and to allow a woman to become the first "Shah" of Iran.

although i really love reza pahlavi and his wife, i wish his wife were more fashion forward. her clothes don't reveal any aspect of her personality. if she was more unique in her fashion taste, people would pay more attention to her.

Maybe you are right, but don't forget that Princess Yasmine and her husband, the Shah, are living in exile ..., with difficulties.

biography of Princess Yasmine.

from farahpahalevi.org

Yasmine Etemad Amini was born in Tehran, Iran on July 26, 1968. Her family left Iran in the late 1970's in response to the turmoil that plagued the country. Her early years were spent in California in the Unites States with her parents.

In 1986 she met Prince Reza Pahlavi. Following a brief courtship, they were married on June 12, 1986. Despite the many responsibilities of her new role, Princess Yasmine continued her education, receiving a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in political science from George Washington University in Washington DC - Consequently, she received her doctorate in jurisprudence (JD) from George Washington University and was admitted to the Bar in 1998.

As a reflection of Princess Yasmine's commitment to Iran and her children, she, in conjunction with a number of her compatriots, established the "Foundation for the Children of Iran" in 1991. This charitable organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota has had an outstanding track record of bringing children in need of medical services that are not available in Iran, to the United States for treatment. In reflecting on the achievements of the Foundation, Princess Yasmine notes: "The Foundation for the Children of Iran is a testament to the generosity of Iranians, Europeans, and Americans from all walks of life who have opened their hearts to the vulnerable children from Iran. It does reaffirm the belief that while governments may quarrel, people are tied together by a common bond of humanity that is enduring and reflective of the higher self in each of us.

Princess Yasmine's professional career culminated in her current position as an attorney at a law center. This exceptional organization provides legal protection to abused children. The Law Center is recognized for its important work in protecting some of the most vulnerable elements of society.

Princess Yasmine Pahlavi lives in the United States with her husband and her three daughters, Princess Noor, born on April 3, 1992 and Princess Iman born on September 12, 1993 and Princess Farah born January 17, 2004. As the spouse of Prince Reza Pahlavi and as a concerned Iranian for the future of her homeland, the well being of her compatriots is close to her heart. Princess Yasmine share her husband's aspiration for a free, democratic and progressive Iran and activley supports his ceaseless efforts to that end. She has also dedicated her life to her own children, as well as the children in her motherland, and those in her immediate community, reflecting her personal and profound commitment to future generations and the opportunities for civil and peaceful coexistence for all people.
