Royal House of Fashion: Who is the Designer and Help Topic

I love the Hugo Boss custom designed suit for CP Mary! Looks great on her!

Who designed the three redingotes (1 red, 1 purple, 1 cream with salmon print) that Princess Mary wore in June 2008?

the red and purple are specialy made for her by PUREHEART (i believed)

the orange coat someone told me that it is by prada, but I believe it is more likely that it is by Day Birger or Malene Birger

Does anybody know who the designer of this dress is?

CP Mary has worn the dress several times, but still I haven't been able to find out who the designer is... Maybe Prada?

I hope someone can help. Thanks :D

I always thought it was Malene Birger (sp) and I was under the impression that the skirt could be worn separately. I thought she wore this skirt with a sheer long sleeved top at Prince Charles' 60th bithday celebrations.

Could you provide your source on this? I think it was especially altered for Princess Mary but whoever did the alterations (new neckline and added lace on cuffs and skirt hem) has never been identified. Perhaps the original suit was by Hugo Boss but not necessarily designed for Princess Mary.

If not mistaken this was also by Pureheart

I'm wondering...

Does anyone know the designer of the white v-neck dress Victoria wore in the recent official photo series for the wedding paraphernalia?

Does anybody recognize the brand of ski wear worn by CP Mary and CP Frederik in Verbier this year? It appears to have a round, red-orange circle or oval as a logo. In one photo, you can see it on Mary's arm and in another I believe it's the same logo on Frederik's pants leg but it's hard to tell. I really like the understated, classic colors that they use.

The brand is Cintamani from Iceland.

If I remember correctly, the skirt and jacket were both by Moschino
The christening skirt was by Hugo Boss. She did wear the christening jacket with the matching skirt one year to her New Year's reception with her patronages.

Is this the top you are referring to?
It was a prize giving ceremony for Farr 40 2 years ago, when Frederik won 8th place. :flowers:

This top was by BCBG Max Azria (BCBGMAXAZRIA: Search for). There was one magazine that showed Kiera Knightley also woearing this same top.

Here is the picture from the christening of Sverre Magnus (March 2006)

She has worn that suit again for the opening of parliament in october 2007

I'm sorry, but I don't know the designer :nonono:

That's the one!

May be someone else knows who the designer is...

I'am not sure, but a have a "fashion"book from Jim Lingvild about Mary and her fashion and there stands that it was speciel made by Hugo Boss that Mary loves.

I've just gone through Jan Korner and Jim Lyngvild's book, Mary Princess with Style, in both Danish and English versions and nowhere in the book is the suit from the photos above ever pictured. There is also no mention in the English version that a suit was especially made for Princess Mary.

The only mention of Hugo Boss in both Danish and English is Princess Mary wearing a white dress in Australia. The following page, after the white dress is pictured, Princess Mary is wearing a burgundy Hugo Boss suit but the authors don't even identify it as Hugo Boss.

I don't think it's definitive that this is a Hugo Boss suit. I'm hoping though that Billed-Bladet will finally answer who the designer is in their StyleFinder section.

By who is this dress worn by Princess Madeleine? I saw the same dress at "Peek & Cloppenburg" by Marie Lund and I'm wondering if the dress is also by Marie Lund. Maybe the dress at "Peek & Cloppenburg" is a copy.

Does anyone know who designed the red "balloon" style dress Lady Helen Taylor wore to The Love Ball in London this week? Pics posted by iceflower in the Lady Helen thread. Perhaps Carolina Herrara?

Thanks.
