Albert II official visit to belgium from the 17th until the 19th of june

Programma
17 june
  • receipt by prince Philippe at national airport
  • lunch at royal palace with belgian royal family (king, queen, prince Philippe, Prince Laurent, Princess Claire, Princess Astrid and prince Lorenz)
  • official cerenomy and meeting with prime minister Yves Leterme
  • afternoon: visit to the parliament for meeting with Herman Van Rompuy and Armand De Decker
  • 16h: visit to The Grave of an Unknown Belgian soldier
  • reception at Monaco Embassy in Ukkel followed by private dinnen, prince will hand out price of the Fondation Albert II de Monaco to Alain Hubert
18 june
  • mass in church in Mariakerke. There is a little chapel voor St-Devote in that church
  • visit town hall
  • Monaco Square: reveiling a buste off Princess Grace
  • Lunch in 'Ostend Queen'
  • Afternoon: visit to a museum and an industrial company
  • Evening gala in Casino Kursaal with 'Les ballets de Monte-Carlo
19 june
  • day in Liege/Luik
  • presentation of Spacebel : company specialized in space technology
  • reception in townhall
  • walk to the palace in Liege for a lunch
  • afternoon: visit to Campus Automobile in Spa-Francorchamps, he will make a ride on the Formulla 1 circuit and visit the signage post

I think it's great that HSH Prince Albert is comming to Belgium, I live about 5 minutes from the Belgium Border and just little over an hour from Oostende.
Just my luck, our car needs work and we planned it for this wednesday....:cry:
I would have loved to see the Prince!
But I am deffinatly going to pay a visit to Oostende soon, can't wait to see the bust of HSH Princess Grace!!! Isn't is great that they are doing this?

I can't say that the artit was very succesfull with the buste of Grace Kelly, the neck seems unnaturally long for example.
 
What about the bizarre and hilarious rumor that Albert II is in Belgium to formally propose to Princess Maria Laura??! LOL!

That is not a rumor luckily, just an poster at a neigbouring board with a creative mind, some wishful thinking at best (like I used to hope my CP would end up with Infanta Cristina ;)).

Anyway, I believe Prince Albert left Belgium by now, a pity that there weren't pictures of the dinner or anything comparable. I would have liked to see Mathilde in gala again, I wonder if the jewels she used at the 40th birthday of the Prince of Orange are actually hers (and she didn't have an opportunity to wear them afterwards).
