No problem at all. I just meant they should be able to have private family time wherever they choose to go without media intrusion.

I guess they have learned how to stay below the radar. ?
 
I'm a bit torn here....on the one hand it's their private family time and they definitely deserve to be able to go skiing without a pack of press to intrude on that. On the other hand, I absolutely loved the pictures we got from their skiing vacation a few years ago and would love to see updated pictures that would now include little Louis. And since those were released with their approval, it was a huge win win for everyone. So, if they are or were skiing, here's hoping we get a new round of snowy family fun pictures.
 
If they do release pictures (which I do hope), I expect it will be once they return. I think it is a nice compromise.

Also as much as the press may argue, if KP were to announce a photocall (as in the 80s and 90s - when print was king) the media and paps would feel compelled to send a photographer to cover - that is alot of expense for virtually the same photo everyone else is getting. So they stalk to get a "different shot". This way KP releases the photos - all of the press gets to use them and they dont have to spend the resources and hopefully there was a nice vacation with the kids.

Personally I hope they have gone to Norway - they seemed to have a lovely time last year on their visit and it seemed very kid friendly skiing. It would be nice if the Cambridges were developing a personal relationship with their Norwegian counterparts.

Agree with this. It would be nice to see photos since we got some skiing photos when Charlotte was a baby with George. And I agree that it would also be nice for the Cambridges to meet the Norwegian royals if they did go to Norway, since they don't really seem to socialise much with their European counterparts.

Perhaps another time. If they are in Norway, they are NOT with the Norwegian royals. As per @royalnoway in the Norwegian thread, the State flag is being flown on the Royal Palace, which means that the King and the Heir are out of the country.

There is nothing happening on twitter ...so if they are in another country skiing no one has spotted them yet.

Actually the two royal families the BRF are very close to are the Norwegian and the Greek royal families. They have very close links, and meet often, but privately and outside the public gaze.

Yeah; I meant the Cambridges specifically since IIRC Princess Anne is also CP Haakon's godmother. I've read that HM is also friends with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain as well as the DRF and Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, though it'd be nice for the younger generation to bond with their European counterparts too - I'm sure they've met each other outside of official engagements due to the older royal's closeness with them, but IIRC the Cambridges themselves haven't actually spent much time with the NRF that we know of.
 
I remember when Charles and Camilla were visiting Sweden there was some surprise when the King noted in his speech that Queen Silvia had been at Highgrove very recent (to the visit). My point being no one knew such a visit had happened so we never really know what goes on in private

Of course. It's evident that there'll be private visits for a reason because, well, they're private - and we won't know about them unless a situation like this comes up and either royal mentions them.

The BRF in general yes, but not every member. The younger royals there is no evidence they have met them outside of official events. Besides Sophie and Edward, there isn't much evidence that anyone beyond the queen has sustained personal relationships with continental royals. Edward and Sophie outside of attending weddings officially, have been seen at birthdays and other private events as well. There is some evidence with Charles and Anne (being godmother to Haakon), but again different generation.

The Greek royals are another matter. They lived in London for years, and moved in the same social circles.

Beyond Harry with Seeiso or Franz Albrecht, the only younger royals who are seen in a private setting with the continentals, are the York girls. Mainly the former royal houses but still.

But William and Kate are at an odd age. The only heirs they are close to in age are Guillaume/Stephanie and Victoria/Daniel. They are around a decade younger then the other heirs/new sovereigns. I'd have suggested Madeleine and Chris but they no longer are in London.

In teh last year, the Cambridges would have met the NRF in Norway, as part of their official visit, and in Nov for Charles' birthday. There may well have been priovate visits that we are not aware of.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been enjoying spending some quality family time with their three young children over the half term holidays. But with the start of school and nursery commencing again on Monday for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, it was back to reality for the family as they made their way back to London. While Prince William and Kate have kept their holiday plans private, it is likely that they were staying at their country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk during the break. The family tend to spend their spare time at their country home, where both George and Charlotte spent their early years. Prince Louis, who turns one in April, will have no doubt enjoyed having his older siblings around for the week too.

If there is an article of fluff, this is it. It is well known that the half term holidays have now ended, and all schools reopen today. Deducing the Cambridge's were back in London over the weekend would not be an act of a great sleuth. That they probably spent the week at either Anmer or skiing somewhere, again nothing new there. ?

Worried the pool story would be leaked to some other paper and they wouldn't get the 'scoop':whistling: Had to try to save face any way by being the one to debunk their own story about skiing.

Really lovely pictures! Their kids are cuties and it's crazy to see Louis is already so big. A year really does fly by.
 
Adorable pictures of the family enjoying Momma’s garden. I too hope other kids will be able to enjoy it.
