Nicolae about the visit to Timișoara at his website.
I spent with Alina-Maria the end of last week in Timișoara on a private visit. I discovered that great efforts are being made to restore the beautiful Baroque buildings.
On Sunday I attended the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Eminence Ioan, Archbishop of Timișoara and Metropolitan of Banat in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Timișoara, a special place for me that reminds me of my grandparents, King Mihai I being one of the founders of this church. I prayed for both him and my grandmother, Queen Ana, who ascended to heaven two years ago.
After the Divine Liturgy I also admired the mural painting of my grandfather, King Mihai I. I felt closer to my grandparents in the wonderful cathedral.
Accompanied by Metropolitan Ioan, I attended the ceremony dedicated to the National Anthem Day along with the Mayor of Timișoara, the Prefect of Timiș County, the President of the County Council and other officials.
