^ I think that suit dress looks too matronly on her. And the cream color washes her out.

The detailing on the dress is really lovely but I agree the colour washes her out a bit.

I personally do not like this outfit on Queen Sofia, the color renders her teeth almost brown! The lace bunches up in all the wrong places, adding bulk and weight to the Queen. She has worn much, much better than this, IMO.

Her teeth ARE brown but that's not the outfit's fault. I think the outfit is really classy but given that the SRF is no stranger at investing in beauty procedures Sofia should allow herself an extensive dental treatment. Like Queen Margrethe Sofia is a smoker (not as bad and not in public) but it shows on the teeth.

She looks fine with the flower tiara, but I would like to see her again with one of the bigger tiaras, and let Letizia to wear this one more often

The red gown IMO was a syunning piece. The color looked like a rich red and the overlaying of the fabric down the front was a beautiful touch to the dress.

A very beautiful gown, actually perfect as a 'lesser gala' dress for a state visit to or from a republic. The shoulders could be a bit more emphasized as the look is just slightly bottom-heavy, but it's still a fine dress expertly made.
Style-wise, the Mellorio shell tiara with its pearls and diamonds would have been an ideal choice to go with the pearls.

Duke of Marmelade, the red Oscar de la Renta gown worn in the USA is a completely different one.
The one worn during the Vietnamese state visit is possibly by Valentino; thanks to dazzling I realized that there were a few designs featuring the same skirt detailing in their recent collections.
