The Duchess of Bragança was interviewed on CNN Portugal about the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Bragança highlighted the role of the Royal Family in the United Kingdom, which the British see as an integral part of their own family, living the dramas and happiness of the monarchy.

It is for this reason that D.Isabel believes that the British monarchy will last beyond the reign of Elizabeth II, although she admits that Prince Charles will face "a very big challenge" when he succeeds his mother.

Perhaps she is indirectly making the case for a restoration in Portugal.

Timor-Leste is an old Portuguese colony and Dom Duarte took an instrumental role in the long-running international campaign to end the brutal Indonesian occupation of the country.. The celebrations this year marked the 20th anniversary of the restoration of the country as an independent nation.
In 2012 he also received Timorese citizenship and the country's Order of Merit in recognition of his service to the country and it's people.

Not that weird when you consider that the Eastern part of Timor was a Portuguese colony until 1975 (after Portugal withdrew because of a military coup in Portugal), so they were asked as representatives of their former royal family. It was the Portuguese government that gave up on them in the 70s -not the royals that had been ousted long before- and in practice had Indonesia rule over East Timor (based on an agreement between Indonesia and Portugal - but against the will of the people of East Timor) for over 25 years, with the country only becoming an independent nation in 2002. So, that they prefer the Portuguese royal family on celebrations like this makes sense from that perspective.
 
A few years ago the King & Queen of the Netherlands brought a state visit to Portugal and was welcome by the president of Portugal, at the state dinner the Duke & Duchess of Braganza was also invited by the Portuguese government, I saw the 10 minutes film clip on YOUTUBE, can you tell me what the names are (full christian names & titles) of the Duke & Duchess of Braganza children? Much appriciated & thank you!

On Saturday, 21 May , Infante Dom Dinis de Bragança, Duke of Porto as Patron participated in the IX Duque do Porto Cup, held at Estela Golf Club, in Póvoa do Varzim, in the Northern Region of Portugal, on the initiative of the honorable Royal Association of Porto. , traditional Portuguese monarchist association.

Infante Dom Dinis received his third cousin, Prince Dom Rafael of Orleans and Bragança who also took part

Three young minors suspected of having started, on the afternoon of this Friday, the 22nd, a fire in the garden of the house of D. Duarte de Bragança, next to Praia Grande (Ferragudo), were identified by the Maritime Police.

The fire, which consumed a small area of the garden, in front of the swimming pool, was promptly fought by a helicopter, which supplied water in the Arade estuary, right in front of the house and in front of the hundreds of bathers who were in Praia Grande.

How wonderful to see Rafael joining the royal family of Portugal.

Just a thought, Maria Francisca would be an ideal candidate as a future royal spouse for Rafael... An age gap of 11 years is a bit large, but her parents seem to make it work!
