Yes, D. Duarte, D.ª Isabel and the children were lodged at the holiday residence of the Luxembourg Grand Ducal family, from August 3rd until August 10th:

Semanário Transmontano - 29-08-2008 - Região - Criada associação que defende regresso da monarquia

On August 16th, D. Duarte and the IDP promoted another visit to the countryside, in the province of Trás-os-Montes.

The event took place on the occasion of the annual festival of Boticas and was focused on issues related to the emigrant community, namely an e-learning platform on citizenship for Portuguese communities around the world.

Correio da Manhã

After a vacation of ten-days in Brazil (where the family enjoyed the piece of a large farm in Minas Gerais) and one week in Cote d'Azur (at the Prince of Luxembourg's residence), the Duke and Duchess of Bragança are now enjoying the very last days of their holidays in the Algarve (south of Portugal).

D. Duarte Pio and the family are vacationing in their house of Ferragudo, along with a group of more than ten people, including D.ª Isabel's brothers and some other friends. Last Wednesday, the group was very amused, drinking "caipirinhas" at the beach of Caneiros, up to 8:30 PM.

Yesterday however, the group chose to have lunch on the terrace of the house. After the meal, the group visited the Castle and Cathedral of Silves and took some photos by the statue of D. Sancho I, the second king of Portugal.

Do you know if they are still having that loud music problem with a disco close to their house?
I guess D. Duarte and his neighbours in Ferragudo were planning to do something against that disco. I really hope everything is ok this year and they can have some rest.

Do I understand this article correctly in that a new monarchist organization has been formed in Portugal? What distinguishes this organization and its purposes from previous or current monarchist organizations? Does there seem to be interest in this organization? Do they have a website yet?

It's not a new monarchist organization. It's just another new Real Associação (Royal Association). Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro didn't have any. Reais Associações are small associations present in most large cities of Portugal to promote the monarchist ideals.

If you're interested, here is the list of the Royal Associations in Portugal. Most links are not working
I didn't know there was a Real Associação in Mozambique

the site says "summer residence belonging to the former Portugese Royal Family", but then says former residence, so which one is it?

According to Point de Vue (21 January 2003) the house was owned by the Infanta Filipa (1905-1990), daughter of Miguel, Duke of Bragança and granddaughter of King Miguel I.
It was either inherited or purchased by Dom Duarte who has since restored the house to a "comfortable and practical" state.

Thank you, Warren!
It does make sense... I checked the information now, and D.ª Filipa de Bragança actually died in Ferragudo, on July 7th 1990.
She didn't have children, so the house was probably inherited by her nephew.

Here's another website describing the house:

I liked to see D. Duarte walking with the Caipirinhas A gentleman, as the article says.

Walking with the caipirinhas? Are you referring to the Brazilian cocktails or to something else? ... if you do I suppose it would be more entertaining to see him walking after some of those...

What a funny thing it would be to watch such an automatic and magical tranformation on him!

Thanks Elsa! Do you have any idea what capes Dom Duarte and the other people on the picture are wearing? It seems to belong to some order?

You're welcome!

The capes belong to the vests of the Royal Order of Saint Michael of the Wing.
