Many thanks to trying a a photoshop with the Mellerio Tiara. It looks quiet difficil.

Only one Tiara come from Mellerio, the "Fleur de Lys" one was not mad by Mellerio.

In fact the mellerio one is very beautiful with somptuous pearls that we can see on your photoshop.

I'm tryng to seek for you a good pic of this tiara.

Regards

Question for royal forum members
Does anyone know if Letizia has ever worn her sapphire and platinum necklace and earrings first used at her pre wedding dinner, again?
I have looked through the forum but have not been able to find a second occurance of the suite of jewels but was wondering if any other members have seen it again?

In fact it is weird that The Princess of Asturias, future Queen of such a grand and old Kingdom as Spain, has only worn 2 diademes, when we compare it to Princess Máxima:

Diamond Stars Diademe
Pavolnik Diademe with diamond fleurons
Diademe from the Aquamarine Parure
Diademe from the Emerald Parure modified with pearl spikes
Bandeau of large rose-cut heirloom diamonds
Diademe from the Mellerio diamonds-and-rubies parure
Princess Wilhelmina's triangular motif diademe
Sunburst diamond diademe
Diademe from the Emerald Parure with diamonds and emeralds

Really, it is weird that Maxima has worn so many tiaras. Mette-Marit has worn two tiaras, her wedding tiara and her amethyst tiara; Mary has worn two tiaras, her wedding tiara and the one from her ruby parure; and poor Mathilde only has ever worn one! *edit- Mathilde wore a tiara borrowed from Queen Paola on her wedding day, but since then, has only worn her one tiara.

Letizia will have access to several other tiaras upon becoming queen: the Mellerio Shell tiara (often worn by Queen Sofia), the Niarchos Ruby tiara, the Fleur-di-lis tiara, the Cartier Diamond and Pearl Tiara, and the Pearl tiara. She will also be able to wear the diamond art deco tiara that she wore to her wedding, and the floral motif tiara.

This is a tiara owned privately by Queen Sofia, so it could end up being in the possesion of one of the infantas.

I think we can only happy with a Princess giving us so much 'value for money'.

Another problem for Princess Letizia (read: the Spanish royal family) is the lack of versatility in their diademes. The Prussian Diademe, for so far the diademe most worn by Princess Letizia can not be changed. It is only one monture.

The secret of Princess Máxima's diademes also partly lies in the fact that many parures in the Dutch royal house have alternative montures for different settings. Princess Máxima's 'sunburst' diademe was in fact a second monture from the grand Sapphire Diademe. The Wedding Diademe was a construction of an existing diamond coronet with diamond stars from another diademe. The diademe from the Emerald Parure was modified (replace the emeralds by diamonds, replace the emerald prongs by pearl spikes), the triangular motif diamond diademe is just one of the montures from Princess Wilhelmina's 9th birthday-gift which came with diamonds: 'create your own diademe'.

Apart from the wide choice, also the versality of the Dutch diademes is the secret. Seen in that light, the Prussian Diademe is beautiful but but there are no any other settings for it. That is a pity.

Maybe we should suggest the Asturias couple to make many visits to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, I am sure the Arab rulers will hand over some jewels to her Isn't the large diamond necklace and earrings that she has a gift from an arab sheik/king/...?

Indeed, but is more likely, IMHO, that she will leave it to Letizia. As a future Queen, she'll make much better use of it.

I'm not quiet sure but I think it's the first time where Letizia has worn this "ensemble", that I find too so fantastic!

I'm just going on other treads about Jewellery of Queen, Princess or Duchess, it seems that it will be time for the Princess of Asturias to have "jewelles", even if the jewelles don't make the function!.....

I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon, Adelaide.

The ladies of the SRF will continue to use discreet pieces of jewellery simply because they are under the "watchful eye" of the Republican Spaniards, who would never happy seeing the ladies wearing sumptuous jewels.

I think the SRF is very smart and they don't want to give these people any reason to believe that they have an extremely lavish lifestyle by wearing exorbitant jewels.

Just look at the Queen. Even when she wears grand tiaras such as the Cartier or the fleur-de-lys, she will wear simple -yet tasteful- necklaces. I think this is a smart move or the Republicans would be shocked! the royals know that the monarchy in Spain is a fragile institution, so they act accordingly!

To be honest I believe that these ladies must have impressive jewels in their vaults, especially the Queen, who must have got some nice pieces from the Arab royals, who are very good friends of her husband.

The new bracelet looks rose-gold and platinum to me, not a grand piece, but very chic and fashionable right now. The pendant also looks very nice, but needs a more noticeable chain.
