Grimaldi Family Jewels

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Is it a wedding present or is it a loan, as happens in other royal families too?

Princess Caroline is rich enough to offer A.E. Köchert earrings - price 13.500 euros to her daughter in law Beatrice.

Donna Beatrice's maternal grandmother Donna Marta, Countess Marzotto, is known for her eye-popping sumptuous jewels. Especially emeralds. Most likely Donna Beatrice wore one of her grandmother's sets of jewels, with great success.

We'll have to look out for Beatrice. She might be the young Grimaldi with the biggest interest in grand jewelry. (Ok, she's not a Grimaldi, her hubby is a Casiraghi. But you know what I mean.) If she wears this emerald necklace again, it might even might be hers. Maybe a wedding present? It would be nice to see her building up a jewels chest of her own.

I agree. Out of all the grandchildren of Grace and Ranier and their spouses Beatrice seems the most likely to wear substantial jewels to events.

Well that she is a Casiraghi is nice but I would count more on the Borromeo and the Marzotto connection for haute joaillerie...

Right, it might very well be possible that the jewels are from her grandmother Marzotto. But we are able to see her wearing them because she married Pierre. And if she likes to wear jewels, chances are that she one day also wear some nice Grimaldi heirlooms.

Yes, because Pierre Casiraghi attends this sort of balls, we can see Donna Beatrice with grand jewels... but... don't underestimate the events we do not see, with the Borgheses, the Borromeos, the Della Valles, the Ruspolis, the Torlonias, the Pallavicinis, the Agnellis, the Pignatellis... See the film La Grande Bellezza and be astonished with the unbelievable wealth of Rome's elite... Plenty of events to let diamonds glitter...

It is a lovely necklace and beautifully set off with the colour and fabric of the garment. Thank you for posting this.

Great find there, that is most surely Grace's jewelry. And it is nice to see it being used again.........yet where is it today?

Great find, it definitely looks like Grace's necklace. It's a beauty and should be worn more often. It's a pity that the monegasque ladies don't wear heirloom jewels more often.

Has it been used as a tiara?
I haven’t seen that. Do you have a picture?

:previous:

Isn't that it in the second photo, being worn by Princess Grace? I thought it was....

No, it’s the three strand diamond necklace that Grace is wearing in the picture that I thought to have recognized in the Caroline picture.

I do wonder though what happened with the small diamond tiara. I don’t remember if it was in the Grace exhibition a few years ago.

The diamond tiara hasn't been worn since Princess Grace's death, but it has been in various exhibitions over the years. So it's definitely still in the family.

Alexandra’s earrings look like little teckel dogs.
