GD Maria Teresa attended meetings of the Board of Directors of the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation (GCA) in Paris on March 10-11th. She is an administrator of the Foundation and the board wished the Foundation to conduct a study mission on the development of microfinance in Cuba and other countries. GD Henri joined her on the 10th for a dinner hosted by the Foundation at the Latin American House.

On March 13th, GD Henri and GD Maria Teresa attended the opening of the exhibition "Religions of the world - world peace - planetary ethics" at the Court of Justice of the European Union.

On the 29th, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was at Banque Centrale du Luxembourg to attend a student workshop for "Woch vun de Suen."

On March 28th, Radio 100.7 announced the director of Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse, Guy Schmit, has quit. Mr. Schmit has only been at the post since September 2016 and had previously served as an advisor on social and humanitarian issues to the Court since January 2014.

On April 24th, GD Henri attended the inauguration of Athénée de Luxembourg and visited the campus. The planning and renovation took 12 years. Manager Jos Salentiny called the day a triple celebration since the Athenaeum was not inaugurated in 1964 when it moved to a new location on Campus de Merl; this year features a new building; and it's the 200th anniversary of the re-founding of the Jesuit College as Athenaeum.

GD Maria Teresa had a working meeting with Dr. Denis Mukwege and Dr. Esther Dingemans, Director of Dr. Mukwege Foundation, at Château de Berg. She wished to learn about Dr. Mukwege's projects to prevent and combat sexual violence committed in times of conflict and post-conflict.

On May 26th, GD Henri had an audience with Professor Dr. Thierry Leterre, Dean of Miami University Luxembourg; Professor Dr. Gregory Crawford, new President of Miami University, and Professor Dr. Renate Crawford. He received an honorary law degree from Miami University in 1993.
