Well I hope we get to see lots of pictures! Lalla Salma has kept such a low profile lately.

At the gala dinner is there a reason why the Moroccan royals did not wear tiaras or the like? It seems a bit odd that Queen Paola is the only one sitting at the table in a tiara and a lavish diamond necklace.

In morocco ,the princesses never wears tiaras at the gala dinners , but they wear gold belts, necklaces and other jewelery ...that is not in their habits, the only time the princesses had put tiaras was during their weddings.

Thank you Amira for the explanation.

I am not particularly familiar with Moroccan traditions and customs, but would it have been appropriate or even expected for visiting Queen Paola to not don her tiara in respect/compliance with this tradition, too? And instead for the Belgian Queen to wear gold necklaces, belts and other jewellery?

It are always the king and queen who go on state visit. So you'll have to wait untill Mathilde is queen to see her on a state visit....
