Most doctors advise against women dyeing their hair when pregnant because it is potentially unsafe due to the chemicals involved. I'm surprised that Haya has continued with it.

Moving on, she looks great in the recent photos, that top is very nice. There doesn't seem to be much interaction between her and Laura Bush though.

The doctors don't advise women not to dye their hair during pregnancy. It's so old fashioned. Like: when you are pregnant you should have to sit at home and just eat.

I agree. And a large majority of the women in UAE use hair dye that is not chemical based anyway.
One of my businesses in Dubai was a Beauty Center and the only reason we advised not to dye when pregnant was that the dye sometimes did not take as well due to hormonal changed within the body.

Food crisis — but it's no surprise | Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein - Times Online

Food crisis but it's no surprise
From the riots in Mexico to the US dropping grain subsidies, the signs have been there

Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein
What will we promise the world's hungry this time? When I was a girl, my father, King Hussein of Jordan, related a story about the last global food crisis and a famous promise made to the world's hungry by Henry Kissinger, who was then US Secretary of State.

in response to princess haya's statement, the world food organization has been asleep at the wheel for several years. did no one anticipate the population boom (china, india) that has been going on for decades? people have contributed through various charities to feed the hungry. let's not forget the disaster that was known as oil for food program that was headed by kofi's son who pocketed most of the cash. alot of corn has gone into the making of ethanol that was pushed on the global scene by the "global warming crowd". her speech seems very naive. don't know if it was written by her; but if it was, she needs to become better informed. the last place someone should work to help solve the world's problems is the UN. it is beyond corruption. by the way, what did her father do to help relieve starvation in underdevelped countries. if history serves me right, i can't recall anything.

Natural disasters pose growing threat

...Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, the wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said during yesterdays gathering that the possibility of future disasters only adds to the present challenges faced such as poverty, education, health, and famine.

Its hard to motivate political leaders to focus on preventive measures to face possible disasters, because politically its difficult under the normal circumstances to convince the people of the benefits of such investments to face things which might not take place, she said.... Full Article

Princess Haya of Jordan calls on donors to support UN relief efforts in Pakistan - Full Article

A picture from WAM thats a capture from Haya's televised message to support the UN relief efforts in Pakistan. I sew the shoet clip on tv, they show Haya talking to help and show a few scenes of Pakistan and show Haya again. Its quite short, Haya's speech was good but I thought she was talking abit too slow. The background looked quite empty.

According to the UN site Haya will be giving a presentation.

This year’s ceremonies at UN Headquarters took place today and will be archived at http://www.un.org/webcast/. The program featured presentations by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and other UN dignitaries, as well as UN Messengers of Peace Jane Goodall and Princess Haya of Jordan.
