Can anyone lay out the British line of succession past the children of King George III in about 1818? This was the time between the death of Princess Charlotte of Wales (1817) and the future Queen Victoria (1819). I know that after Charlotte would have been the other sons of King George III, but what about after them?

When Charlotte died, George III was still alive but there was a regency. George III, Then George IV, Prince Frederick Duke of York. The Duke of York dies before George IV , Prince William Duke of Clarence future William IV then Victoria's Father Prince Edward Duke of Kent.

William IV has 2 legitimate daughters that die as babies. Edward dies after Victoria's birth so the throne goes through the 2 George's to William to Victoria. Prince Ernest August who became King of Hanover would have been next if something happened to Victoria before she had children.

After George III's children, the next in the succession would have been George's siblings and nephews/nieces.

First his nephew, Prince William, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, then William's sister, Sophia.

Next would have been Charles II of Brunswick then his brother William of Brunswick (also nephews of George III).

Then William of Wurttemberg and his children.

George III's grandchildren stood before his siblings and their families.

George III's grandchildren weren't born until after 1817.

At the accession of Queen Victoria the following children of George III were still living

Princess Augusta Sophia +1840 : no issue
Princess Elizabeth +1840 : no issue
Ernest Augustus, King of Hanover +1851: Had Issue
Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex +1843
Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge +1850 : Had Issue
Princess Mary + 1857 : no issue
Princess Sophia +1848 : no issue

If Victoria had died in 1840 ala Charlotte, giving birth to Vicky (and the baby died as well) then:

Ernest August King of Hannover would have ascended the throne as Victoria's eldest living uncle.

-his son George V of Hannover would have been POW at 21

After them (George V had his first child in 1845)

2. Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge (as the Duke of Sussex's marriage would have eliminated him)
3. George of Cambridge- Adolphus' 21 year old son
4. Augusta of Cambridge- Adolphus' 18 year old daughter
5. Mary of Cambridge- Adolphus' 7 year old daughter
