Ohhhhh, nooo, please tell me she's not running in high heels!!!
High heels can cause serious damage to your feet anyway but running in high heels on the stairs can be a big injury risk!
One of my good friends adored high heels till one day she was stupidly running down the stairs and her heel suddenly broke and she fell very badly. She got injuries from that fall that still cause her pain and she still limps a little  Please, please be careful when walking in high heels on the stairs or run!

Generation Pep's project leaders Carolina Klüft and Marie Harding met five days ago Helene Hellmark Knutsson, the Minister for Higher Education and Research.
The government published a photo of the meeting at its Instagram
"How children and young people can move more during school day - about that Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Minister of Higher Education and Research, discussed yesterday with Generation Pep and Carolina Klüft. In honour of the day, the minister had proper training pain after yesterday's pass in functional strength training. #generationpep #training #health"

At the photo Carolina presents the minister the book "Sagasagor: Fiffiga kroppen och finurliga knoppen" which GEN-PEP published with Bonnier Carlsen. It's interesting to follow if this meeting had to do with some new event or initiative by GEN-PEP.

Marika Kehrer, Communications Manager of Generation Pep, has been interviewed in a large interview by Dagens Media at their Weekend Interview Serie.
Marika Kehrer tells about their media strategy, lack of competition and the commercial with Stephen Hawking.

In summer 2016 the Crown Princess couple launched Generation Pep, a non-profit organization that gathers large companies, foundations and organizations in the fight for children and young people's health. Even before that, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were engaged in young people's health through their foundation.
Kehrer explains that their focus has always been on trying to work with people who share the vision of getting children and young people live a more healthy life.
- We are driving a very broad issue, and therefore we have focused on targeting adults. They have a big impact on how children and young people live and they also have a responsibility to act as good role models. We believe that children do as adults do, not as they say.
How much the Crown Princess couple is involved in the work today?
- They are involved and committed and are both in the Generation Pep Steering Group, and Prince Daniel is operatively involved in some projects.
- We work with health, an area that many actors work with, but we don't see any competition in what we are dealing with. We want to include everyone in this work, and we have realized that we must have quite clear guidelines for reaching out.
In addition of doing everything on a scientific basis (with partners Karolinska Institutet and Gothenburg University), Generation Pep has also, in an effort to reach as many as possible, collaborated with MTG, TV4 and Metro. Thanks to this, they haven't only been seen in several commercials, but also on two front pages.
Has there been a conscious strategy right from the start?
- Yes absolutely. But we haven't generally worked so much with purchased media space, we have created a lot of own material as well.
Under their first year they had two ideas that got a lot of attention. The first was to set "Årets Peppare" prize at the Sports Gala, but the second idea became the smartest out of a marketing perspective. Together with Forsman & Bodenfors, Generation Pep succeeded in making an advertisement with scientist Stephen Hawking.
- Stephen Hawking was one of the world's most intelligent people, and when he couldn't move, he had difficulty understanding how people who don't have to sit still are doing it. Hawking saw the world as a whole and was concerned about this development. He had a very big international impact, when he spoke the world listened.
The campaign gave Generation Pep a whole new game room to try to reach out with its message.
A year after the campaign with Hawking, Generation Pep managed to get another big profile in Sweden with them.
- Johan Glans is a very popular person, appreciated by many and a skilled comedian. When we thought of the concept and what films we want to do then we thought that Johan Glans would suit well to them. He said yes immediately. We got very excited.
In "Jump Up, Sweden" campaign, more people called for more involvement and stopping their sedentary at least once every half an hour for children and young people's right to a healthy life. And this time the organization itself stood for the idea and the concept.
Also other big names have been linked with Generation Pep. The ex-athletics star Carolina Klüft works part-time with the organization and former ice hockey players Peter "Foppa" Forsberg and Maria Rooth and program host David Hellenius have been featured in their commercials.
- It's clear that famous ambassadors, who we call "pep souls", are an effective tool for reaching out. But we have also seen that the most important thing is that they share our vision. We have seen with Hellenius and Glans that these humorous undertones are very effective.
How much does it mean that the Crown Princess couple is behind the organization?
- It's clear that there is a contributing factor to people wanting to join us and work with us, but I don't see it as the whole reason.
- There is genuine commitment from all people we have worked with. I think that is one of the reasons we have succeeded, and that we have had such interesting ideas that they would like to join in and drive this issue. We are very happy. We see an incredibly gratifying development, and we want to continue pushing this issue forward. And find many creative and fun ways to create commitment to children's physical health. We must of course pair it with serious facts and bigger efforts.

Those photos taken of Daniel by photographer Felix Odell I posted yesterday, were taken when Odell photographed Daniel to an interview at ICA Buffé Magazine's April issue.
With around 1,300 stores and a market share of around 36%, ICA Sweden is the leading grocery retailer in Sweden. ICA Foundation is a founding member of Generation Pep.

Health according to Prince Daniel
The differences in health are large between different areas, and the crown princess and Prince Daniel want to change that with initiative Generation Pep.
Interest in sports and health was already founded during prince Daniel's childhood in Ockelbo, where he played football, basketball, hockey and all other sports he could access.
- It was another time. The adventure was outdoors. I knew early that I wanted to work with people and health. Already when I was 15-16 I made training programs for friends. It became my way of run a company and becoming an entrepreneur, and in my new role, I can work with even broader allocation.
He says that health in society is unevenly distributed. The Heart-Lung Foundation's study shows that people in socially vulnerable areas run twice as much a risk of developing major public health diseases such as stroke, COPD, depression and myocardial infarction, and three times the risk of getting type 2 diabetes - and this is founded in childhood. It was because of these troubling figures the idea of Generation Pep was born, a non-profit organization which the crown princess couple founded in 2016, aiming to reduce the health gaps in society.
- We have an opportunity to act as a collective force. But everyone has to help: school, business, driving spirits, organized sport. Children should move so that the pulse increases for an hour each day; It's not enough they're in the park and swing or run around and play. It is about spreading knowledge among parents, supporting the organized sports associations, and in other ways providing better opportunities for physical activity in everyday life for all children and young people. It's not okay to die prematurely because you live in a certain area.
What we eat also has an effect on health. It can differ only 20 kilometers between an area where 6% is overweight and an area of 17% is overweight, says Prince Daniel. What he does to get his children eat WHO's recommendation 400 grams of vegetables, fruits and berries a day?
- Instead of condemning, I believe in adding positive habits. When the kids are hungry, give cucumber and tomato slices to them while they are waiting for the food. You can start dinner with a salad as an adult. Save the soda and candy for the weekend. It must not be too charged either. You can eat everything, but not as much.
- One must also respect different families. There is perhaps a lack of time, space and energy to keep rules. But then, it should be remembered that even small changes can make a big difference.
Recommendation for adults is to move 30 minutes a day. By leaving the bus a station earlier and walking for ten minutes each day, you improve your health.
- Training has direct health effects on an enormous number of organs, from skeletal muscle and brain to blood sugar and pressure and the activity of various inflammatory substances. There is a misunderstanding that the biggest gain in physical exercise is to counter obesity, but it is just one of very many health effects.
Also mentally, you see major effects of physical exercise. It counteracts depression, reduces the risk of memory problems in the elderly, gives the children sleep and better school results.
- That's just another reason why society's major players should solve this problem together, because we all have so much to win. Generation Pep is currently testing different methods to increase physical activity at school.
It has gone over 20 years and the context is completely different. But Prince Daniel is just the same inclusive, enthusiastic and encouraging person as at the gym in the mid 90's. The difference now is that he tries to get the whole Sweden with. Is anyone can succeed, it is him, I think in a taxi going out of the Haga Park.

Generation Pep's project leader Carolina Klüft becomes an expert at SVT

Carolina Klüft is one of history's leading Swedish athletes. She has won an Olympic gold, three World Championships gold medals outdoors and one indoors, two European Championship gold medals indoors and two outdoors, Bragdguld and Jerringpriset and has been named as the Best Athlete in Europe on two occasions. Now a new mission is waiting - as athletics expert in SVT.
- It's been six years since I finished my active sports career and now it feels like I've got a fair distance to athletics. It will be great fun to give more time to athletics track and follow the Swedish and international stars, says Carolina Klüft.
- Athletics is one of the most popular sports in our audience. That is why we are very pleased to further strengthen our already strong athletics team. Carolina Klüft is one of our biggest through the ages, and has a lot of experience in the TV-media. A dream draft, says SVT Sports Manager Åsa Edlund Jönsson.
Klüft is now completing SVT's athletics team which includes commentator Jacob Hård and expert commentators Kajsa Bergqvist and Anders Gärderud.
- It will be exciting to belong to this amazing team and learn from their knowledge and experience. As a heptathlon athlete I know many different branches and techniques, and have also participated in many major championships. Although it has been a few years, the feeling and preparation for a championship are the same, and I hope to convey that, said Carolina.
The SVT debut will be in the Diamond League competition on June 7th. After that, Carolina Klüft will participate regularly in SVT's athletics broadcasts during the season, with the Berlin European Championships in August as a highlight.
- I was injured and missed the World Championships in Berlin 2009, so it's going to be fun to get there and experience a championship, even if it's going to be another way, says Carolina Klüft.

Generation Pep

About Generation Pep
Generation Pep is a non-profit organisation initiated by the Swedish Crown Princess Couple, with the vision that all children and young people in Sweden should have the ability and desire to live an active and healthy life. Therefore, Generation Pep works to spread knowledge and engage both people and organisations in a joint effort to make it easier for children and young people to live a healthy life. To have a chance to succeed with this long term vision, Generation Pep wants to involve the whole community in the work - from local enthusiasts to politicians and policymakers.
Generation Pep_ About - Generation Pep

The Prince Daniel's Race and Sports Day has been organized five times in September at Haga Park, the first in 2013. Daniel was the initiator of the day together with the Swedish Sports Confederation. Last year the Sports Day was organized in many other places in Sweden too.

In January this year The Swedish Sports Confederation told at a press release:
The Swedish Sports Confederation has chosen to extend the Sports Day to a national concept and arrangements will now take place in many different places in the country through the Swedish Sports Confederation's District Sports Association.
The Sports Day will be organized by the Stockholm Sports Association and the choice for the venues in Stockholm in 2018 will be Farsta and Järva. The Swedish Sports Confederation will therefore not arrange the Sports Day at Haga Park or Prince Daniel's race in 2018.

Generation Pep organized last year a Pep Day in Flen, it was a mini version of the Sports Day.

Press release from Generation Pep, 4th May:
Pep-dag (Pep Day) at Haga Park with Prince Daniel's Race
On September 16th, from 11 to 15, families are welcomed to Haga Park.
Generation Pep's vision is that all children and young people should have the opportunity and willingness to live an active and healthy life. Sweden is one of Europe's most sedentary countries, and the part of children reaching the recommended amount of physical activity, one hour a day, is small. Physical inactivity leads to a series of negative health effects. More people therefore need to understand and see the importance of how movement can contribute to a lifelong active and healthy life.
Generation Pep has therefore taken the initiative to create the concept of Pep Day - days, where the joy of movement and knowledge of a healthy life is in focus. The aim is to give children and young people the opportunity to experience joy of movement in different forms, from dance, play, outdoor life and sport, and gaining knowledge of movement and nutrition.
On September 16th, from 11 to 15, families are welcomed to Haga Park. Children born 2006-2012 can run Prince Daniel's Race where all participants are winners and get medals. The registration for the race is now open. We can take 1500 children to run. The race is not about to come first in goal, everyone who participates is a winner and gets a medal and some goodies at the finish line as a prize for their efforts.
Prince Daniel participates during the Pep Day at Haga Park and, among other things, shares medals to those who have sprung.
The Pep Day at Haga Park is organized by AIK Friidrott, The Royal Djurgården Administration-The Royal Court, The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation-Generation Pep and The City of Solna.

Fryshuset and Generation Pep launch Street Pep - an activity festival for young people
On June 11-15, the activity festival, Street Pep, will arrive at Dalenparken in Enskededalen. A festival for young people where the participants have a palette of passions and activities to test and hopefully get caught up with. Behind the initiative is Fryshuset in cooperation with Generation Pep.
Physical activity, the ability to exercise something that stimulates body and soul, has a positive effect on the well-being and skills of young people, and there are few relationships that today have the same opportunities for playing a crucial role for the youth's inclusion in society.
Street Pep is a free mobile activity center that brings together children and young people with passions and activities, but also inspiring and relevant leaders and local associations. The aim is to as many as possible of those visiting Street Pep find an activity that they then offer the opportunity to continue through local associations.
"Health is not equal today, but depends largely on the conditions in which we grow up. We are therefore working to ensure that all children and young people have the same opportunities for active leisure time and healthy eating habits. We hope Street Pep can be a model for achieving long-term change and our goal is to eventually roll out Street Pep nationally, said Lenka Prokopec Karlberg, Partner responsible of Generation Pep.
Nu lanseras Street Pep - en aktivitetsfestival för unga - Fryshuset

:previous:

It will be interesting to learn whether street sports will inspire more children to exercise than other local activities have.

Sweden is one of Europe's most sedentary countries,

If true, what is the reason for that? Sweden is an affluent nation with plenty of countryside areas to hike, ski, and so on.

Generation Pep launches Pep Skola (Pep School)
Healthy habits are formed early. Pupils who move and eat well have better health and better opportunities to succeed at school. From 30th May, a school can use this page as support to achieve the goal that physical activity and healthy eating habits should be a natural part of school day.

Generation Pep launched today Pep School. And Daniel's school visit to one of the pilot schools in the project was part of it.

Daniel visited today Bäckahagen School for information about the "Brain - Movement" concept. Bäckahagen School is one of the four schools in Generation Pep's pilot project for "Pep School". Generation Pep has developed together with experts a method how schools can work with physical activity and healthy food.

Lea and Emma talked with Daniel and said he was kind. They think the school has become much better since they have more movement. They talked with Daniel and told them they do handstands.
- He thinks it was cool. He said he usually stands hands against a wall at home, Lea says.

Bäckahagen's school is actively working to increase the movement and sport for the students at the school. The school works on the basis of the "Brain / Movement" concept, which includes motion breaks, brain breaks and organized activities on the breaks.
Bäckahagen's school is also a pilot school for Generation Pep's school effort, Pep School. In Pep School Generation Pep offers support for schools that want to introduce more physical activity and healthy eating habits during school day. With Pep School, teachers, leisure teachers, school nurses and
other school staff can help evaluate the current situation and plan and follow up their work for a healthier school.
Together with a number of elementary schools, Generation Pep, together with researchers from GIH, Karolinska Institutet and University of Gothenburg, has launched a website where schools wishing to introduce more physical activity can gather information and inspiration.

About Daniel's visit in TV4 News morning

The hosts of the News morning tell that Sweden is one of Europe's most sedentary countries. And today organisation Generation Pep launches together with prince Daniel an effort to get more healthier school days.
Reporter Jenny Alversjö was with Daniel at his visit at Bäckahagen's school.
Jenny tells that Daniel presented today a big project on schools, which aims to get the school days more healthier. And this has everything to do with moving, of course. Good morning, prince Daniel!
Daniel: I was talking with some girls from grade 5, who are very active. I wanted to know what they are doing on their active breaks. Some of the girls do gymnastics and they leade their classmates.
Jenny: Generation Pep presented today a national project, which intends to make the school days much more healthier. Tell me more, what does this project involves?
Daniel: The Pep School, it is a digital tool, a site, which gives support on how you can implement more physical activities, more movement in the school, in a simple way. It is a collaboration between us, the schools, The University of Gothenburg, Karolinska Institutet and The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences. There is a lot of research in this, but also a lot of inspiration. It will be exciting.
Jenny: What will be the biggest challenge the prince sees in the schools today?
Daniel: We see that we move way too little, we sit way too much, and eat often very badly. We see studies that only 22 % of the girls in grade 5 and 6 reach the daily recommendation of 60 minutes physical activity, 44 % of the boys. There is a lot to be done.
Jenny: This school is a pilot school, one of four, at the project. How do you get more schools to the project?
Daniel: We try the whole time speak about this. This is part of what we do, and I think it is very important that the whole society takes part behind this, incredibly simple question. This is so complex that we must try different models. For us it means working with schools, companies, non-profit organisations, and the whole time do many different things, spread the knowledge. We want that everyone gets to know that the children must move 60 minutes a day to feel good.
Jenny: What should we do to the children's school days?
Daniel: With the support of our site. It gives suggestions how you can implement this. For instance, how to get more activity, more movement during the lessons. We will probably see today, I hope so. It may be that you get up during the lessons and make some movement, dance or go out to the corridor to do something. There is many inspiring examples at the site. It is also about active breaks during the school days, what you do before and after school, about the dining room, what you eat during the day.
Jenny: How the prince trains during the day with the children?
Daniel: This is also one thing, depending on how you have it socially and economically, health is very unequal. It is one of our biggest worries. If you grow up in difficult circumstances, that you will be in danger to get serious diseases. What did you ask?
Jenny: I was wondering how you train at home?
Daniel: If you are physically active yourself, your children are physically active too. You take care about it, you are more outdoors.
Jenny: Any tips what we could do now?
Daniel: You could run a few rounds here at the football field (laughing). I think Sweden should be a country where children and young people are feeling good.
Jenny: We agree about that. Thank you, and good luck to your project!
Daniel: Thank you

Video at TV4 from Daniel's visit to Bäckahagen's school yesterday:
Jenny: Hello, prince Daniel! How does it feel to sit by a school desk again?
Daniel: It feels good. It wasn't so long ago. I'm so young, so it wasn't a long ago (joking)
Jenny laughs: Some years ago still... The prince is here to launch a project which aims to make the children's school days much more healthier. How would such an example look like?
Daniel: Well, we will see if we get some gymnastics on the break here. I think it is coming.
Jenny: Then we will be quiet and wait.
And then the teacher puts the children exercise a little, Daniel does it too.

Press release from the Solna City
Three new activity parks are being built in Solna
On the initiative of Generation Pep, Solna City and Fabege will collaborate on constructing three activity parks - so-called Pep Parks - in Huvudsta, Arenastaden and Haga Park. The purpose of the parks is to give children, adolescents and adults the prerequisites for play, movement and everyday motions together.
Generation Pep is a non-profit organization, initiated by the Crown Princess couple, which works for children and young people's health. To increase accessibility to everyday motivation and give children, adolescents and adults an opportunity for activity and movement together, the concept of Pep Parks has been developed.
- The initiative from Generation Pep is well in line with the strategy for encouraging everyday motivation that Solna City called out in 2017. Through the activity parks, more children, young people and adults in Solna will have better opportunities for play, motion and exercise, says Pehr Granfalk, Municipal Council Chairman at Solna City.
Pep Parks in Solna is a pilot initiative aimed at developing a model for cooperation between a municipality and the local business community.
A Pep Park includes play gear adapted for different ages and function variations and stimulates spontaneous and planned activity as well as develops mobility, coordination and other physical skills. A Pep Park also includes adult gym equipment.
The first Pep Park will be built Huvudsta. The park can be put into operation in the spring of 2019.
Tre nya aktivitetsparker byggs i Solna — Solna stad

- As adult role models, we all need a shared responsibility to provide our children and young people with an active and healthy life, and with the pilot initiative in Solna, three new activity parks can be made possible thanks to business and public sector collaboration, says Gerda Nilsson Tjernström, managing director at Generation Pep.
- As a district developer, together with Generation Pep and Solna City, we can contribute to expanding the movement and exercise opportunities in our immediate environment, which is an important and fun cooperation. Generation Peps's idea of combining an adult-based gym with children's play is an intelligent way to stimulate a healthy lifestyle for both our customers and those living in the area, and it is therefore natural that we are involved and ensure that the parks are created, says Christian Hermelin, CEO of Fabege.

In the next few years, parks will pop up in several places in Solna. The park in Huvudsta is first out.
It is on the initiative of Prince Daniel, who founded the project Generation Pep, which the so-called Pep parks are built in Solna.
First out is a park in Huvudsta, where the building begins in the fall. It will be ready in spring 2019. Pep parks are also located in Arenastaden and in Haga park. Today there are no outdoor gyms, which was taken into account when the places were selected.

Generation Pep starts cooperation with the Swedish Women's National Handball Team

At the website of the National Handball Team
Generation Pep, an organization initiated by the Crown Princess couple, works on the vision that all children and young people should have the opportunity and willingness to live an active and healthy life.
Sweden is one of Europe's most sedentary countries, and the percentage of children reaching the recommended amount of physical activity, one hour a day, is small. Studies also show that there are only half as many girls as boys reaching the recommended amount of physical activity per day.
Physical inactivity leads to a series of negative health effects. More people therefore need to understand and realize the importance of how movement can contribute to a lifelong active and healthy life. Generation Pep is now initiating a collaboration with the Women's National Handball Team to encourage children and young people for a better health.
- We are very pleased with the cooperation. The National Handball Team is a great role model for many children and young people, and it is inspiring that elite players help us spread the message about the importance of everyday motion and healthy eating habits, says Gerda Nilsson Tjernström, Managing Director of Generation Pep.
- This is an important issue that we really want to highlight. Through the collaboration with Generation Pep, we look forward to increasing knowledge about the profits with a healthy lifestyle and inspiring more people to move and eat healthy, says Stefan Lövgren, CEO of Swedish National Handball Team AB.
Children and adolescents are on average more sedentary on weekends and on holidays than on weekdays, and therefore the first step in the collaboration will be a campaign for the purpose of breaking the sedentary and increasing physical activity during the summer holidays.
Adults are encouraged to be good role models for children and young people in short movie clips published as of today and throughout the summer in Generation Pep's and the National Handball Team's social media.
As part of the collaboration, digital information and inspiration material on physical activity and healthy eating habits will also be sent to all participating teams in connection with the Swedish Junior tournament.

Sunday, September 16 at 11-15, families are welcome to Pep-Dag (Pep Day) in Haga Park. Children born 2006-2012 can run Prince Daniel's Race. Participation is free and all participants get a medal.
Prince Daniel's Race, which in recent years has been part of the Sports Day in Haga Park, is being conducted during the Pep day on Sunday, September 16th. Prince Daniel will attend the Day and, among other things, hand out medals to some of the runners.
For details about the announcement, times, and more about Prince Daniel's Race, see Generation Pep's website about the Pep Day.

Generation Pep
Crown Princess Couple Foundation - Generation Pep is behind the initiative of this Pep Day, a day when joy of movement and knowledge about a healthy life is in focus. The aim is to give children and young people the opportunity to experience the joy of movement in different forms, ranging from dance, play, outdoor life and sport, and gaining knowledge of movement and nutrition.
Carolina Klüft leads the stage program as a host on the Pep Day.

The Crown Princess couple's sports initiative to Ekerum
Great sports day for young people at Ekerum in connection with the Victoriadagarna.
Crown princess Victoria will be very much in focus when Victoriadagen has a 40th anniversary. In addition to the Crown Princess celebration, several other events will be held. One of them is Move for Fun, which will be held at Ekerum on Friday.
- Move for fun gives children and young people the opportunity to try a variety of activities and hopefully find something they want to continue after the summer, says Gerda Nilsson Tjernström, managing director of Generation Pep.
During the day, children and young people are given the opportunity to try out various sports such as dance, golf, paddle, horse riding, martial arts, cycling / mountain biking, boules, football, obstacle course and running.
- For us in the Smålandsidrotten, it is a great opportunity to be a part of this collaboration and focus more on the concept of moving pleasure that permeates throughout the day. All children and young people are welcome, says Therese Möllevi, project manager from Smålandsidrotten.
The Sports day at Ekerum is being conducted together with the Crown Princess couple's initiative Generation Pep.
- The key word for Move for fun is the joy of movement and it is important to show that physical activity does not need to be any training or competition - all forms of play and movement are good, says Gerda Nilsson Tjernström.
The Swedish Sports Confederation's Chairman Björn Eriksson and Secretary General Stefan Bergh come to Ekerum. Victoriadagen's organizer Kay Wiestål is one of the initiators. He thinks that it can be a repetitive event.
- It feels so. It is the first year and we will make an evaluation of the day afterwards. But that's a big thing.

Move for Fun, the sports event at Ekerum today, organized by Generation Pep, Victoriadagen, The Swedish Sports Confederation, Smålandsidrotten and Ekerum Resort Öland was a big success.

3 500 visitors. Taste that number. The hopes tripled for Ekerum's first multisport day Move for fun.
- I'm totally surprised, it's been amazing. So many people and you see from the eyes of the children that they are happy, says Therese Möllevi at Smålandsidrotten.
Ekerum Resort turned into a childish fun sports party on Friday.
- This is super important for us. Perhaps more important than for soccer and floorball. We belong to the sports that not all children know and here we have the chance to show us and they can try a little. We have a cellar otherwise, it's not easy to find us, says Johan Petersson from Borgholm Budoklubb.
Martial arts was combined with dance, obstacle course, running, cycling / mountain biking, golf, paddle / tennis, boules, horse riding, football and floorball. Someone around 300 children tried floorball with Kim Nilsson during the day.
- Clearly, more than expected, lot of people. It is very mixed with tourists and Öland inhabitants, some are interested in Kalmarsund. Many of the younger have never tested and from some you notice that they are playing in a club, says Daniel Redenheim and Kim Nilsson.
- It has become a lot of autographs. It was a queue at the beginning, some know who I am and some want to have an autographs because everyone else wants. (Kim Nilsson is a member of the swedish national floorball team and was chosen as Öland Inhabitant of the Year in 2015).

Generation Pep and H & M's new sports collection for children and young people now in the shops
Generation Pep and H & M continue to develop their cooperation with the purpose of developing functional and durable sportswear for children and young people. In addition to a new, specially designed autumn collection to promote children's and young's physical activity, focusing on the joy of movement and active leisure, now there is also exclusively launched table tennis racket and balls are being launched through a new collaboration with STIGA Sports.
In order to have positive effects on health, children and young people should touch at least 60 minutes a day. But a survey shows that only three out of ten children reach these numbers. The same report also shows that children are significantly less active in their free time than at school.
- We at STIGA Sports are extremely pleased with this collaboration between Generation Pep and H & M. We hope for many fun filled moments with this collection. Making sports and active leisure promoting the wellbeing of the body and soul has always been our most important foundation in STIGA Sports, said Andreas Zandrén, CEO of STIGA Sports.
- Generation Pep wants to create a popular movement for children and young people's health and be a platform where different actors who want to participate and make a difference can meet to get even more effect from their commitment together. The cooperation between H & M and STIGA Sports is a fantastic example of this and I hope that, in addition to contributing to more physical activity among children and young people, it can inspire others for similar collaborations, says Gerda Nilsson Tjernström, Managing Director at Generation Pep.
The collection is available in stores and online as of September 6th and costs between SEK 49.90-199.

Daniel's interview in TV4 News morning
Daniel tells that they have Prince Daniel's Race, where 1500 children will run, and they have a lot of activities the children can try. And a super weather! Daniel hinted about Estelle running the Race, when the reporter asked if the prince's own children would run and Daniel said "we will see, Oscar it would not be". Daniel says that they have organized this event in Haga Park some times in a little different concept and he has been told that many children have found some sport or activity they think was fun. Daniel says that this day highlights one problem in Sweden, we sit too much and move too little. And those who have it economically tough, are affected by serious illnesses. It's about unequal health, and that is one of the most important reasons why we have founded Generation Pep. We want to create conditions so that children could find the joy of movement and be healthier and feel better. Daniel says that today the children are weaker, they have worse physique than before and there the school and of course parents have a very important responsibility. School is a place where everyone has to go, then there is of course great conditions and possibilities to support a child to find the joy of movement. I'm very glad of all initiatives that have been taken during the last years. And we have this year launched a digital method support "Pep School", in which four hundred schools have come with, to inspire and help the school to implement good habits. So I'm positive, things are happening, but at the same time we know, that it is very difficult. The reporter asks if Daniel has some advice. Daniel says that he is super privileged, but if we think about a single parent with three children, who has to take care that the children to their homework, make dinner, clean up, do laundry, and also to support children in physical activities, it is not so easy. Every child should move at least 60 minutes in a day. But if you move only 20 minutes, it is better than not to move at all. All physical activity is counted.

Daniel was interviewed by Expressen and said a lot of same things than at TV4's interview
Princess Estelle runs race - gets a medal from dad
Prince Daniel has a great deal of commitment to children's right to movement and good health.
Prince Daniel shot himself the run-up to his race, which has been organized for several consecutive years.
The race is part of the Generation Pep Day at Haga Park in Stockholm, right next to where the Crown Princess family lives.
Generation Pep is an initiative of the Crown Princess couple, aimed at bringing more children and young people into motion.
In addition to running the race, the children get the opportunity to try out different activities and sports - as well as dancing with the Bolibompradraken who hosted the stage together with former former athletic star Carolina Klüft, she also engaged in Generation Pep.
- It's great fun, we have driven this Prince Daniel the race for a number of years. We do not take time, everyone gets a medal, everyone who sets up is a winner - maybe it sounds a bit cliché, but it's very nic. It is a matter of fighting around this little course, and there is a lot of pride in the children who come to the goal when they get a medal and some encouraging words.
One of those who got a medal was the Prince's daughter, Princess Estelle. Prince Daniel says he has had his hands full to talk to the princess after the race, but in pictures he shows how he gives her a hug after she has finished.
- I was delighted to hand out a medal for her, that was very nice.
The race is the day after another big day - yesterday Prince Daniel turned 45 years. Aging seems to bring him peace of mind.
- It was a restful celebration with the family. 45 is no age, right? Absolute youth, he says, laughing.
