Time flies when you’re building your dream and now I have a Diploma to show for it So happy to have completed two years at @prinsdanielsfellowship and for the incredible mentor and friend this program has given me in @lindstrom_lisa. The past two years have been the most rewarding and challenging years of my life, professionally, mentally, and even spiritually lol and I probably couldn’t have done it without the support of my network who has believed in me when I have failed to believe in me. Being an entrepreneur is far from glamorous (we save the glamour for you guys!) so having a support system, a mentor and friend to learn from and lean on means everything. Super grateful to IVA, Prince Daniel and Marcus Wallenberg plus so many more for believing in @sniph !
This lil diploma will go on the wall of our new office (hello February) as a tribute to our team who is the reason why all of our lives smell amazing and why 2020 will be more exciting than ever before!

The Swedish Basketball Federation about the visit
On Friday morning, the Swedish Basketball's patron, His Royal Highness Prince Daniel, visited the Swedish Basketball Federation's office in Stockholm to get to know the organization and the Swedish Basket better.
He received an overall presentation of the current state of the Swedish Basketball and our strategy ahead by President Mats Carlson and Secretary General Johan Stark.
- Having Prince Daniel as patron for SBBF feels very good and I am convinced that we will see the value of this in various areas going forward, says Mats Carlson.
To highlight the positive power of basketball in the community, several successful collaborative projects were also presented, including Välkommen Hit, Bonnier Hoops!, SJ Basketligan Special and Game Changer. Spendrup's CEO Fredrik Spendrup and Sustainability Manager Anna Lidström presented Loka Heroes, a collaboration that Spendrups has operated with the union and Håkansson United since 2016 - and which has now been extended for another three years.
BK Järva's chairman Jobel Teklebrhan told about their activities in Husby, where they have managed to involve many younger and female leaders - which is a challenge for many associations and sports.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on how we together can create good conditions for the basketball's continued growth - including within the framework of the Crown Princess couple's initiative Generation Pep, which works for children and young people's health, has many points of contact.
- Being able to listen to everything fantastic that we do at Svensk Basket in connection with the Prince's visit makes me both humble and very proud. I also think the Prince was impressed, everyone in Basket Sweden can stretch, says Johan Stark.
This summer, Prince Daniel assumed the patronage of Svensk Basket , which means that he in various ways promotes the activities of the association, institution or organization. The patronage extends over three years.
Thank you HRH Prince Danel for a very appreciated visit!

The Crown Princess couple last visited the Police in Malmö in November for information about the newly launched national special incident Rimfrost against serious organized crime.
The night's visit was a follow-up during which Malmö police chief Mattias Sigfridsson initially informed about the situation within "Operation Rimfrost". Thereafter, the Prince was given the opportunity to follow and meet some of the police officers who served during the night.

On Thursday, February 6, Prince Daniel attended the Sustaintech Venture Day conference at the Hotel Clarion Sign in Stockholm.
Sustaintech Venture Day is a conference for sustainability companies with rapid sales growth. The focus of the day is to discuss growth opportunities and investment strategies.
Prins Daniel vid konferensen Sustaintech Venture Day - Sveriges Kungahus

Daniel said in his speech, which he held in english, among other things:
Firstly: entrepreneurship.
Without companies such as Stora Enso, Atlas Copco, Sandvik and others, the trees would just be trees, and the iron ore would just be rocks – instead of thousands of job opportunities and massive export earnings for Sweden.
Entrepreneurs like Alfred Nobel and LM Ericsson. Ingvar Kamprad, Ikea, and Erling Persson, H&M, Jan Stenbeck and others have been so important for Sweden and without this strong tradition of entrepreneurship, Sweden wouldn’t be the prosperous country it is today. And I'm happy to say that a new generation of great entrepreneurs, both women and men, are taking over.
Secondly: openness to the world.
As I said, we were one of the poorest countries in Europe. 150 years ago, poverty drove over one million Swedes to cross the Atlantic in search of a better future in America.
This opened up the world to us. It gave us knowledge and connections, leading to global trade and partnerships. This is something we continue to benefit from today. And export is crucial to our economy: 46 percent of our GDP comes from export.
Thirdly and lastly: access to growth capital.
Spotify, Klarna and iZettle; Swedish success stories – but they happened with growth capital partly from abroad.
Now we are following North Volt and the founder Peter Carlsson, one of the most exciting companies in Europe.

Professor Arne Ljungqvist talked to Svensk Damtidning about his meeting with Daniel last Monday.

Prince Daniel loves fair play - and hates cheating. Now he will join forces to take a push to doping in sports.
Prince Daniel is a true sports guy. He has been sporting his entire life.
Another issue that Daniel is passionate about is fair play. Therefore, the Prince welcomed Arne Ljungqvist to the Palace for a meeting on doping issues.
Arne, who was joined by Christina Lidén, is one of Europe's most respected doping experts. But he felt that Daniel also had a lot of knowledge on the matter.
- He has experience from the gym environment. He knows what it looks like. And it is important for him that it should go clean and proper, says Arne.
Daniel runs Generation Pep, which aims to promote youth health. Arne believes that his foundation, "Professor Arne Ljungqvist's anti-doping foundation", can work with Generation Pep to get young people not to use performance-enhancing drugs.
- It has spread outside the sport. Now it is young people who are doing body-building and want to feel at home in their body that consume this. We talked about it with Prince Daniel. It has become a public health issue.
- It's a misery. Therefore, the kids need to know in time to avoid these preparations.
Arne feels that Daniel feels passionate about the issue.
- He is obviously provoked. As does everyone who think it is interesting and fun with competition sports. He doesn't think this is acceptable, of course. He wanted to help out. And it requires constant work, says Arne.
The meeting was successful, says Arne. Daniel was able, among other things, to provide tips on how you as a foundation can collect financial support to pay for your business.
Arne left the Palace with a sense that the important work against doping has a strong ally in Prince Daniel.
- This is nothing that will disappear. It must be prosecuted. If you let it continue, then things go bad. We knew, both me and the prince that the issue had come up recently, says Arne.

The school closes because of corona infection - two days after Daniel's visit
Two days ago, Prince Daniel met students from the Tornedalsskolan school. The school has now closed after it was discovered that a student was infected with the coronavirus, reports SVT.
Prince Daniel appeared in front of 200 students from the Tornedalsskolan school and talked about his entrepreneurship.
- I was told last night that a person at the school is infected of corona and don't currently know much more about it, says Sven Tornberg, municipal council in Haparanda, to SVT.
However, according to Peter Mariin, principal at the Tornedalsskolan school, there should be no risk that the prince may have been infected.
- It is true that a person has been confirmed to have the corona virus. But this person was never in the same building as Prince Daniel, Peter tells to Svensk Damtidning.
Is there any risk that the person may have infected someone who in turn came in contact with the prince?
- No, it shouldn't be. They work in different units.
The court currently has no comment to offer on how to handle the situation.
- I have to return to this, says Margareta Thorgren.
Daniel and the students from Tornedalsskolan met at Folkets Hus in Haparanda. With Daniel on stage were entrepreneurs Stina Bergfors and Niklas Adalberth. Actor Leo Razzak acted as moderator of the conversation.

Daniel should have given the opening speech at Träffpunkt Idrott fair in Gothenburg on 17th March.
Träffpunkt Idrott (Meeting point Sport) is the Nordic region's leading meeting place in sports, swimming, construction, leisure and public health where all the Nordic decision-makers, influencers and innovators in the industry gather.
On March 11, the Public Health Agency made a request to the government and proposed limiting public gatherings with more than 500 participants so far.
So the organisers of Träffpunkt Idrott have decided to cancel the event. They are investigating new dates to conduct the fair.

Daniel's school visit with Prince Daniel's Fellowship and its entrepreneurial programme on 25th March has also been cancelled.

The painting on the wall shows a view of Haga Palace during the time of King Gustav IV Adolf. It was painted by Louis Belanger, and now belongs to the art collection of the City of Stockholm.

Here Prince Daniel works from home, in Haga Palace, because of the risk of infection for corona - just like thousands of other Swedes.
At the same time, the court is worried about the Swedish people and the business community.
Now Prince Daniel, just like other Swedes across the country, - works from home to reduce the spread of the new corona virus covid-19.
Friday's schedule included a telephone meeting with the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement Sweden.
The Prince expresses concern about the vulnerability of both small and large companies in the corona crisis.
- I think this is a concern shared by the entire Swedish people and the royal family obviously follows the development and this applies to everyone who is affected. Both individual people and large organizations and companies, says Margareta Thorgren.
On Prince Daniel's desk, which is in Haga Palace's library, there is a black and white photograph of Crown Princess Victoria in a wedding dress.
More and more Swedes, especially in the big cities, are moving their offices home to avoid the spread of infection while trying to keep Sweden afloat. This also applies to the royal family who have had to change their way of working when social contact should be avoided.
- It is really just like many others in Sweden, many other companies and organizations are adjusting in this prevailing situation to be able to work in a new way. This also applies to the royal family who work from home and who work more digitally. This means that you work differently with scheduled meetings, such meetings that might be physical happen entirely digitally and so you work more over the phone, says Margareta Thorgren.
Is Prince Daniel worried about his own health?
- When it comes to the royal family, it is important to follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency and the royal family does so. It is important to help reduce the spread of infection.

A very different picture than the one of Frederik working from home. This is all very 'stately' and Daniel in full suit; while Frederik looks much more modern and somewhat edgy and wearing a dress shirt but without tie or jacket.

Beautiful (large) picture of Victoria on his desk though!

The prince would also like to send a thank you to the donors who contribute to the vital research for heart-lung diseases.
- The corona virus has affected the lives of everyone in Sweden and the world. Not least for those living with cardiovascular disease. We know that you are extra vulnerable and thus risk being seriously ill if you become infected. I think a lot about you all right now and feel the anxiety it raises in many, says H.R.H. Prince Daniel.
- It means a lot to us that Prince Daniel sends a greeting and shows his commitment to everyone who is particularly vulnerable when the corona spreads across the country, says Kristina Sparreljung, secretary general of the Heart-Lung Foundation.

Daniel called on 24th March to the chairman of Njurförbundet (The Swedish Kidney Association).

At the website of The Swedish Kidney Association:
A greeting from Prince Daniel
H.R.H. Prince Daniel would like to greet to all members and followers of the Kidney Association.
The Prince called the Association's chairman Håkan Hedman in the home tonight. They talked for a while and the prince expressed his sympathy with the concern he has understood that many kidney sufferers, kidney transplants and their relatives are now feeling, due to the corona epidemic.
Prince Daniel, himself a kidney transplant, now works like so many others from home and does what he can to protect himself from infection, but is aware that not everyone has that opportunity.
Prince Daniel takes part in the information from the Kidney Association and expressed appreciation for the work the association is doing to create better conditions for the country's people with a kidney disease.
The conversation ended with the prince wishing the Kidney Association good luck.

Daniel's speech
Thank you for this opportunity to greet all of you who compete in this year's Swedish Championships of Junior Achievement Sweden.
I have had the privilege of meeting many of you during the year and I am often struck by your wonderful drive and your ability to come up with good business opportunities.
Many companies and people are having a tough time right now. But one thing has really become clear during this pandemic - and that is how central companies are to our society. Our companies create jobs, make sure we have an economy that is developing and offer products and services that we all need.
Thanks to brave entrepreneurs, Sweden is a rich country today; a country with resources, a country that hopefully will do relatively well in this crisis. A country where there are many young people who see entrepreneurship as a possible future employment, such as you!
In the midst of all the sad news that we now live with, I can't help but feel joy and pride in our Swedish entrepreneurs.
Who has the ability to think new in difficult situations, to contribute to new solutions. We see restaurants donating lunches to healthcare workers. Tech companies that come up with new smart technical solutions. And big industrial companies that are switching to manufacturing medical equipment.
I hope and believe that when we come out of this difficult time we will do so with a strong future belief - and a new appreciation for our companies and what they contribute. And this is no bad start for young entrepreneurs like you.
Now I wish you all the best of luck in this year's Swedish Championships! And I look forward to meeting the winners at a digital meeting soon. Good luck!

“With an entrepreneurial journey in turbo speed and sky-high innovation, they are writing about the history of humanity right now. They push the boundaries of what we thought was possible and they stand for a concept of success that not only saves lives, but makes the whole world a little better.”
This is the motivation that Prince Daniel read when he announced at Haga Palace the winner of SvD Affärsbragd 2020.

Svenska Dagbladet published a video from Tuesday where Daniel announces the winner of Svenska Dagbladet's Affärsbragd. After announcing the motivations and the winner Daniel says:
- It is perhaps best that I mention that I have not been a member of the jury, but we actually visited Cellink with Prince Daniel's Fellowship program last year. Then Erik was one of our mentees. Erik, how fun that you and Cellink get this award. It will be very exciting to follow you in the future. Big congratulations and greetings to colleagues at the company.
Erik Gatenholm says:
- Thank you very much! First I want to thank the prince and thank Svenska Dagbladet and the jury. We at Cellink are incredibly proud and satisfied with this award. I also want to thank the prince specifically for the support the company has received in recent years. I've been part of his fellowship program, now I'm an alumnus. I'm very, very proud of that, so I want to thank you very much for that.

I wonder if this sort of anecdote enables the prince to be more relatable for the average citizen than the other royals might.
