I really hope Damian Lewis reprises his role at Henry VIII.

I just started watching this as well. Like others, I was turned off by the accuracy of the Tudors and decided to give this a pass the first time round. It isn't perfect by all means but its not as bad. I can't wait to the second series.

A real great for the autumnal evenings. Sad that Hilary Mantel is no longer with us to see it, although I remember reading she was involved in its production before she died.

Yes I'm really looking forward to Season 2 starting this Sunday!

Dame Harriet Mary Walter was cast as the doomed Lady Margaret Pole,Countess of Salisbury an excellent choice for the role!

I'm in Germany not sure how long I have to wait therefore I depend on this thread ;) Thank god there is no surprise in the story, we all know how will eventually lose their head!

I thought it was very good. I don't particularly enjoy Hilary Mantel's books, but the TV adaptations work really well.

There have been a few recasts since series one
Bernard Hill played the Duke of Norfolk in Season 1,he sadly passed away earlier this year.
Timothy Spall is now playing the Duke of Suffolk.
Tom Holland played Gregory Cromwell is Season 1 and is played by Charlie Rowe in Season 2.

Tom Holland was a nobody back then compared to his Marvel superstardom in recent years. They could not afford him any longer I guess.

Its hard to believe that Season 1 aired almost a decade ago!

Another recast from Season 1 was Jessica Raine, who played Lady Jane Rochford in 2015 but the role is now played by Lydia Leonard.

Tempus fugit indeed!

I didn't even realise they'd done another series, I spotted it by chance. Have watched the first four episodes of the first series, two to go, then will watch the first episode of the new series again which will lead me nicely to Sunday!

Enjoy & I really wish I was watching Season 1 for the very 1st time!

If she is even half as good as her father she will go far, Anton Lesser morphs in to the character, there have been times I have not recognised him in a role as his appearance seems to change.

Such a good series . The mounting tension between Cromwell and Henry is so well done.
There’s a documentary about Cromwell on BBC4 this evening and it will be available on IPlayer afterwards.

Cromwell's enemies including Bishop Gardiner and the Duke of Norfolk now imply that he had somepart in the poisoning of Cardinal Bainbridge in 1514!
