Being a lover of reading I really loved seeing this video. It's been a long time since I visited there, thanks so much for posting. Think I will read some Dickens now.

I think that joint tomb is Mary and her husband, Sir George Villiers, the Duke of Buckingham’s father. The Duke of Buckingham is, as far as I know, buried in a tomb in Westminster Abbey, next to King James I, whose favourite he was. Another of the King’s favourites, Esme Stewart, Duke of Lennox, rests on the other side.

‘The Duke of Buckingham's tomb is on King James's left and on his right is the tomb of his other lover, Ludovic Stuart, Duke of Richmond and Lennox.’

I thought James I was buried in the same vault as Henry VII and Elizabeth of York? Maybe the two Dukes are buried in adjoining vaults?

Yes he was and his coffin was rediscovered in February 1869 ,there is no monument or tomb for James at the abbey ,possibly due to the Civil War and lack of funds.
Anne of Denmark is buried nearby the coffins of her daughters Mary and Sophia.

Their choice of targets continue to be ridiculous. It would be better if the media decided not to cover their antics.
And to enter a house of worship with intent to vandalise some ones burial spot is sacrilegious and down right disgraceful .
I hope they both get hefty fines and are made scrub the streets.

I don’t understand ”activists”… Especially not when they are 65 and 77…. One of them being much older than my mum….. They want to have attention and make people listen to them… By destroying, vandalizing and breaking the law ? Why would that make me more interested in listening to them and sympathize with them ?

Something doesn’t go all the way through there…..

Their point of doing such stupid acts is to give oxygen to their organisation. They don’t care for one moment about how it comes across to the public, they just want publicity and sadly that’s what they are able to achieve.

Imagine the outcry if someone target their homes and did such horrendous acts of wanton vandalism.
