Victoria's Eyesight

Has anyone an idea, why she doesn´t wear her glasses in all the pictures above?

I don't know. They might be just for reading because she has some reading material with her when she is wearing the glasses.

She's so pretty I wonder why she doesn't just wear contact lenses because she looks so great without her glasses on. Not that she isn't pretty with her glasses because she is, I just like when she does't wear her glasses.

OK, it´s time to bore you all, but since I am an optometrist/optician I have do tell you my idea about the glasses. If you hate optics: close your eyes!
I think that CP V needs glasses that corrects astigmatism and maybe she´s a bit hyperopic as well. That means that she can se quite well without her glasses but gets tired in the eyes and maybe gets headaces as well if she reads/ works in front of a computer. Then there is her dyslexia as well so I think that she needs the "help" that she can get- e.g. glasses.

And maybe she has the same opinoin about her looks as we have- good with, but better without glasses on. ( by the way, the frames are from Gucci) :flower:

She seems to wear them a lot recently and in the past year or so. You'd think she would just opt for contact lenses, but maybe she only wears them when she knows she will have to read something. I don't know..just wondering if anyone else knew when and why she wears them?

Victoria suffers from a visual defect for many years now...I´ve seen pictures of Victoria, in which she´s about 12 and there she´s wearing glasses....I remember that she wore her glasses very often in public in 1997...and I´ve seen paparazzi-pictures of her, which were made in the time of her stay in the USA and there she wore glasses too. But in the years between 2000 and 2003 I´ve never seen her with glasses....that started again in the beginning of 2003...and since then she wears her glasses at almost every informal official duty, and since autumn 2003 sometimes at galas too.

Hmm that's interesting, never knew about the defect. Poor girl, had 2 deal with a lot of crap so far in her life. Wonder why she didn't wear them for years then just started 2 again? Thanks 4 ur answer Lena.

Victoria´s former exemplar...she doesn´t seem to be a fan of different designs...the same version(s) for many months...IMO she should wear (if she really wants to wear glasses instead of contacts-I would prefer contacts) different glasses to different hair-styles and different outfits...

it would be fun to see some up to date on her glasses. i think she still wears them but not as often

I remember reading that Princess Grace of Monaco also wore eyeglasses from the time she was young just like Crown Princess Victoria...I don't know why that surprised me but it did!

Oh and there's a picture of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel - both of them with their eyeglasses on and sitting together - which is so cute, I can't seem to find it right now but it's adorable!
