Victoria takes home the title of “Woman of the Year”.
Aftonbladet/Demoskop asked which woman had distinguished herself most positively during the past year. The answers differed between men and women. In both cases, sports stars such as Jonna Sundling and Elvira Öberg are at the top. The Social Democrats’ Magdalena Andersson also ranks high. The first place among women is taken by Crown Princess Victoria. The men’s favorite is the Christian Democratic party leader Ebba Busch.
Queen Silvia was 15th at the survey.
The survey was conducted by Demoskop on behalf of Aftonbladet within the framework of the Inizio panel, which reflects the Swedish people. The target group is the general public aged 16 to 79. The survey includes 1,011 interviews during the period 28 February – 4 March as an online survey.

Daniel is the patron of the Ice Hockey World Championships 2025
The 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Stockholm is pleased and proud to announce that HRH Prince Daniel is the official patron of the championship. The Prince's commitment to sports, health and the joy of movement for young people makes him a natural and honorable representative of the championships.

Daniel has been a big Kent-fan. He and the band's frontman Jocke Berg are also friends, and hang out in private. Jocke and his wife were invited to Daniel's 50th birthday party. Now Kent made a come-back and returned to stage with six sold-out concerts in Stockholm and of course Daniel went to the concert.

The annual report of Radiohjälpen tells:
The fundraiding for the Crown Princess Victoria's Fund amounted to a total of 12 million SEK. Of this, 7.9 million SEK consists of gifts from wills. A total of 200.1 million SEK has been collected for the fund since its inception in 1997.
The Crown Princess Victoria's Fund can provide support to non-profit associations that arrange leisure activities for children and young people in Sweden with disabilities, including chronic illnesses and mental health problems. This year, support was granted to 29 projects, ten of which will last for two years.

The Swedish Business Council visits Finland together with HRH Crown Princess Victoria
On 22–23 April, the cross-sectoral Business Council for Total Defence and Crisis Preparedness, led by Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin, will travel to Finland together with HRH Crown Princess Victoria.
The purpose of the visit is for the Business Council to gain insight into how Finland works with private-public collaboration and to exchange experiences on security of supply between the participants in the Swedish and Finnish councils.
The visit is arranged together with the Finnish National Emergency Supply Agency.

– It's AIK joy. For him and for all of us. It's great fun and this is how it should be. Daniel watched a lot of matches when I played. We've run into each other over the years. It's great to have them here too.
AIK's CEO is fairly convinced that the royal family will be in the stands during the final matches as well.
– We could have sold several thousand more tickets. I would be surprised if they don't come here and support us during the final series. I'm pretty sure of that.

Svensk Damtidning has spoken to a person who ran into her down by the water.
– I usually run into her, I live in the area right by the Royal Swedish Motor Yacht Club where she happens to be today. She was sitting and having coffee with some of her friends and I was sitting next to her and having coffee on my own. (..)

To mark the International Day for Biological Diversity today (May 22) Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Oscar visited Södra Djurgården in Stockholm to look for birds and other animals this morning (prior to Oscar's school day started). They were accompanied by Jessica Åström from WWF.

Equipped with binoculars, they looked for birds and other animals at Isbladskärret. Some of the species they saw were starlings, nightingales, great horned owls, coots, buntings, herons, crows, blackbirds, corncrakes, black-capped chickadees, grape snails and lapwings.
