Tiaras and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2025

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Would be nice Queen Camilla in the emerald kokoshnik with one of the big emerald necklaces, either the Goodman which, the Greville emerald necklace which the Queen Mother often wore or the emerald necklace with drops worn by QEII at the diplomatic reception 2019.
For Catherine the diamond and sapphire bandeau which one of the sapphire necklaces. But then she hasn't worn necklaces for her last Galas. That needs to stop.
I am very happy with your choices. That said, I would love for Camilla and Catherine to both be in emeralds. Queen Camilla in the GDV tiara with emeralds, and the Godman necklace or the Greville necklace used by QEQM. Catherine, perhaps in the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik, and the Greville emerald necklace with drops used by QE2 in 2019.

I suppose there's a possibility that the opening of the Canadian parliament will be a tiara occasion. It was in 1977 and 1957 (including for the ladies-in-waiting), but of course those were both a very long time ago, and with a queen regnant.

It would be great if the opening of the Canadian Parliament is indeed a tiara occasion. If so, I suspect the Queen will wear the George IV diadem again.

I hope that if it is a tiara occasion she will bring another tiara. Can the George IV. Diadem taken abroad.
Don't think QEII has ever worn it for such occasions abroad

Another dream for the French state visit could also be that someone wears the sapphire bandeau if it still is there, together with for example the sapphire sautoir necklace that has never? been worn.
Or a colour clash with Catherine wearing the turquoise "parure" from Princess Margaret, if it still exists.

My initial instinct is that the Canadian event won't be a tiara event but the Canadian government might want to make it a big spectacle to make a point.

I suppose times are different now and it will be day dress for everyone like it always is in Canada nowdays (except KCIII who may be in uniform)

But i wouldn’t be sad if i will be proven wrong

My final guesses to the Iceland State Visit to Sweden tomorrow:

Silvia: Nine Prong Tiara
Victoria: Boucheron Laurel Wreath
Sofia (if attending): Palmette Tiara with a new gem
Madeleine (if attending): Aquamarine Kokoshnik Tiara
Christina (if attending): Six-Button Tiara

You were right about Silvia she is wearing the prong tiara with the pink topaz’s, Victoria in the aquamarine kokoshnik and Madeleine debuted the ruby tiara today

For the diplomatic reception on May 12, I predict Queen Maxima will wear the Mellerio Ruby tiara.

It's a pity Amalia won't attend. But I predict Maxima will wear the Antique pearl tiara

French state visit

Camilla - Girls of Great Britain Tiara and paired with the Goodman diamond and emerald necklace that was gifted to QEII with French connections
POW - Cartier Halo Tiara (having that French jewellery connection)

Are there any Windsor Jewels with a French connection?

Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara is on exhibition at Buckingham Palace until November.

Unless the french state visit is postponed as the King and Queen will be going to Canada, i think Camilla will wear the frenchmade Greville Boucheron Tiara.

Are there any Windsor Jewels with a French connection?
There are many items of jewellery in the collection of the BRF that have been made by French jewellers like Cartier and Boucheron. There are also items received from French organisations like the Coral Rose brooch by Cartier. But none directly from the French state. There are also items like the Godman necklace that were meant to have French connections but none could be established. So I think that leaves the field quite clear for Queen Camilla to pick and choose jewellery as she may choose.

The choice may be influenced by the sash she wears. If she receives the French Legion of Honour which has a red sash, we might see rubies. If so, might we see her wear the Oriental Circlet. If she does not receive the Legion of Honour, she will be wearing her Garter sash. I don't think she will wear the George VI sapphires as she wore them at Versailles.

Might she wear emeralds: Godman, Greville, Delhi Durbar, paired with the GDV tiara? Or Queen Victoria's pearl and diamond necklace with the GDV tiara? Or diamonds: the Festoon necklace with the Greville Boucheron tiara? Or the Brazilian aquamarine necklace given it is spring?

If she wears emeralds i hope she wears the emerald kokoshnik. Isn't i also french made like the honeycomb tiara?

French state visit

Camilla - Boucheron Greville Emerald or Honeycomb Tiara plus the rose brooches of the original Nizam of Hyderabad Tiara (made by Cartier)
Catherine - Cartier Halo Tiara or Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Bracelet bandeau tiara (both by Cartier) plus the Nizam of Hyderabad necklace
Sophie (if attends) - her wedding tiara or the Aquamarine necklace tiara
Anne (if attends) - her festoon tiara
Birgitte (if attending) - Honeysuckle Tiara (the Cartier Indian tiara is currently on exhibition)

Banquet at Guildhall (if happen)

Birgitte (if attend) - Iveagh or Diamond Emerald Bandeau (as I said above, the Cartier Indian Tiara is currently at the Cartier exhibition)

Catherine - Cartier Halo Tiara or Queen
Ohhh that would be such a nice reason to bring back her wedding tiara for the first time. I hope you are right

Im sure they can be taken out of the exhibition temporarily if the donor requested esp those at the King's Gallery.

I'd love to see Camilla debut some of the big historic emeralds

My guess for France to UK state visit:

While I'd love to see some grand emeralds too, I don't think Camilla won't pick green as she probably would wear the French order which is in bright red, that would be so Christmas-y. I hope to see ruby circlet or the Greville for tiara, and City of London fringe or QEII's festoon for necklace. For Kate I think it'd be QMLK but I wish to see the halo with necklace or emerald choker on her. I think we'd see Sophie in her wedding tiara but again I wish to see her in the sapphire bandeau. Would be lovely to see the Nizam of Hyderabad again on Sophie or Kate. The meander for Anne and honeysuckle (pink topaz or all diamond ver) on Brigitte.

My guesses for the SV from France to the U.K:

Camilla: Grand Duchess Vladimir tiara (pearl version)
Kate (if attending): Lovers Knot tiara
Sophie: Wedding tiara
Anne: Festoon tiara
Birgitte: Iveagh tiara

For the French state visit to the UK, I am setting out some of my "hopes":

Queen Camilla: July can be quite warm, so I think we will might see the Brazilian aquamarine necklace. That could be paired with either the aqua tiara or the Greville Boucheron tiara. Alternatively, if she chooses to wear all diamonds, she could wear the Greville Boucheron tiara, and pair it with the Festoon necklace.

Catherine: Sapphire bandeau paired with a suitable sapphire and diamond necklace (Dubai sapphires?)

Sophie: Papyrus / Lotus Flower tiara, paired with a diamond necklace from the vaults

Sapphire bandeau - which tiara is this?

Sapphire bandeau - which tiara is this?
I think the tiara in question is Queen Mary’s Sapphire Bandeau, also known as Empress Marie Feodorovna’s Sapphire Bandeau (even if it’s not verified if the tiara really came from her)

Princess Margaret was its last known wearer… Though she stopped wearing it after awhile… Since then noone really knows where it is

Margaret wore the sapphire from it as a brooch for years, don't know if she had the tiara in her possession and just didn't wear it.

Perhaps a tiara with a French connection is appropriate and we will see the Greville Boucheron Honeycomb tiara. However as a state visit between France and the UK is rather high up in terms of important state visits. It would be a great occassion to debut one of HMs most important tiaras: the Girls of Great Britain or the Vladimir. But then there still is the possibility that the colour red of the French order will be leading, and we will see one of the two ruby tiaras, especially the oriental circlet would be a lovely surprise. There are always so many options considering the enormity of the UK collection.

I am hoping on tiara surprises for the Pss of Wales and the Dss of Edinburgh too. I have been hoping to see the long hidden Teck crescent tiara, which the King supposedly inherited from his grandmother the Queen Mother. I would obviously love to see the long-lost sapphire tiara of empress Maria Feodorovna as well. Both would be great surpises but I expect we will see the Cartier halo on Catherine and the Lotus on Sophie.

The Duchess of Gloucester has an enviable collection herself. The Indian tiara of Cartier would be lovely due to the French connection. If Pss Michael attends I hope she will wear her best tiara, which is the Kent fringe.

If I am not mistaken, the GGB&I tiara is at the Edwardian's exhibition at BP, so unlikely to be used by Queen Camilla. I would love for the GD Vladimir tiara to be used, either with pearls or emeralds.

The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara is on display at Buckingham Palace until November, together with Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara and the Delhi Durbar Tiara… I doubt they will take anything out from there when they have so much else to choose from…

If all of them attends i guess it will be -

The Queen : Greville Boucheron Diamond Tiara (unless she decides to upgrade it and wears the George IV State Diadem like QEII did to the french state visit in 1960)

The Princess of Wales : Cartier Halo Tiara
(though would love to see her wear the Greville Emerald Tiara with the emerald chocker and earrings she has worn)

The Duchess of Edinburgh : Wedding Diamond Tiara.
(though would love to see Anne borrow her the Battenberg Meander Tiara for an evening, given how close Sophie also was to Philip)

The Princess Royal : Diamond Festoon Tiara.
(though would love to see her wear the Belgian Sapphire Tiara together with her other sapphire jewellery)

The Duchess of Gloucester : Cartier Indian Tiara.

:previous:

It would be a good opportunity to take a better look at the Wessex tiara. The altered version has not been pictured often and the quality of the photos did not show it very well.

For the Omani State Visit to Spain (if it's confirmed for May 20), I predict Letizia will wear the Floral Tiara
