Tiaras and Jewels guessing for upcoming events: 2025

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
For the state visit to Finland I'm guessing it would be either the pearl poire again (if Mary decides to go big for the Nordic neighbour) or her wedding tiara (go small for republic country).
I suspect we will see the Pearl Poire tiara in Finland.

The Danish RF likely have 2 parties coming up in April… Queen Margrethe turns 85 on April 16 and Princess Isabella 18 on April 21.

My guess is both will be black tie events.
I do hope a white tie celebration is held for Queen Margarethe's 85th birthday.

Her 80th birthday gala had to be cancelled due to covid, she deserves a big gala with all her friends and family, imho. And I think that Queen Mary is generous enough to let her mother-in-law enjoy the three part floral tiara for the time being. At some point, that jewel will come her way, just not yet.

That would be lovely and that has usually been the case whenever Daisy has celebrated a milestone…

I just keep my expectations a bit lower than usual as she has abdicated now so i can be pleasently surprised if they go higher than blacktie 😁

I appreciate your point about Daisy's abdication. But she served for 52 year as Queen, likes a good party and I suspect (hope?) Fred & Mary will make it happen for her.

It has been suggested that Charles & Camilla will visit Italy in the spring. It has not been confirmed yet of the trip will be a state visit or an official one, if there will be a gala dinner, and if tiaras are worn or not. Any which way, hope we see some interesting jewellery on the trip.

But then even if it is black tie I hope we will still see tiaras. This was at last the case for the second Dinner at her 70th birthday

Maybe a joint celebration for both QMII and her granddaughter Princess Isabella
Maybe they will do something jointly private, but i don’t think they will merge anything officially… The risk is huge that Princess Isabella’s birthday will dissapear in QMII’s celebrations then imo… Especially if the nordic heads of state is invited to Margrethe’s party…

Queen Camilla didn't wear a tiara in France. I wouldn't expect her to wear one in Italy either.

I appreciate Queen Camilla did not wear a tiara in France, as the French have clearly moved on from tiaras. However, Queen Camilla did wear a tiara in Berlin just a few months before the French state visit. So lets see where we land on this.

Yes the Danish RF seem to be more formal for these events and looking forward to both of them.

I'm not really expecting any big public celebrations for Queen Margrethe's 85th birthday. Not sure if the 85th is celebrated as grand as other milestone birthdays like the 80th and 90th, but maybe they'll surprise me!
As for Isabella, even if her birthday will be a black-tie event, I'm sure they'll release an official photo of her with tiara and the Order of the Elephant. I'm curious if she'll get one of her farmor's tiaras (e.g. the turquoise tiara), or one of her mother's (the necklace tiara), or maybe a brand new one!

An Official dinner, Representationsmiddag, takes place on 19 March at the Royal Palace. We don't know who will attend, but these are my guesses.

Queen Silvia - Queen Sofia's Tiara
Crown Princess Victoria - The Laurel Wreath Tiara
Princess Madeleine - Modern Fringe Tiara

My guesses for the representation dinner on March 19:

Silvia: Connaught tiara
Victoria: Lilian’s Laurel Wreath tiara
Madeleine: Modern Fringe tiara
Christina: Six Button tiara

My guesses for the representation dinner on March 19:

Silvia: Nine Prong tiara
Victoria: Lilian’s Laurel Wreath tiara
Madeleine: Aquamarine tiara
Christina: Six or Four Button tiara

My guesses for the SV from Singapore to Luxembourg in March:

Maria Teresa: Belgian Scroll tiara
Stephanie: Small Floral tiara

There is a gala dinner tonight at Christianborg Palace in Copenhagen - Queen Margrethe always wore tiara for this event that earlier was called 'Arts et Lettres".

I think we will see Queen Mary with the "new" diamond bandeau.

It would be great if Mary did indeed wear a tiara. And if so, the diamond bandeau would be a lovely choice.

Queen Margrethe is also scheduled to attend. Will be interesting to see which tiara she chooses. I guess either the baden palmette or the turquoise bandeau

I concur. If tiaras are worn, QM II will wear either of the Baden Palmette or the Turquoise Bandeau.

For the state banquet in Helsinki tmrw, I expect Mary will wear the Pearl Poire tiara. I hope she wears the necklace and earrings from the parure as well.

Would be nice but I won't ecpect her to wear the necklace on a SV to a Republic when she didn't in a Kingdom

For tomorrow, I guess:

Danish to Finland
Mary: Edwardian Necklace Tiara or the Rose Cut bandeau
Netherlands to Cyprus (if occurs)
Maxima: Diamond rose cut bandeau or Emerald tiara

Rose Cut bandeau can only be worn in Denmark like the other Sets from the Crown Jewels

Unlikely as it is - but a visit to Finland would be the ultimate occasion for borrowing Queen Alexandrine’s Diamond and Sapphire Tiara from the Amalienborg Museum to wear to the state banquet…

Queen Silvia has often worn the Leuchtenberg Sapphires in connection with finnish state visits (in honour of finlands national colours)

But i guess Mary will wear either the Pearl Poire Tiara (but not the full parure) or her Wedding Tiara with pearls.

Queen Mary could wear the Midnight Tiara on her state visit to Finland, which is also a wonderful piece of jewelry.

Norway got the pearl poiré, Sweden the rubies. As another Scandinavian country and close partner of Denmark I hope Queen Mary will use a substantial tiara there too.

The Edwardian spinel tiara IMHO is best left to a junior princess. It simply is not an impressive piece and the stones are tiny. The same goes for the wedding tiara. Both are more fitting for a lady-in-waiting even.

I agree with you about the lack of wow-feeling over her smaller tiaras but if Mary would stop wearing them, then she would have only the Pearl Poire and the Ruby left to take abroad…

The 3 part floral aigrette should normally be hers too but until Mary proves me wrong, they seems to have left it with Margrethe anyway 🤔

I only wonder could they not share it and Mary could use it for example in Finland when Margrethe does not attend and does not need a tiara.
