My bid for the German State Visit to Spain

Queen Letizia : Floral Tiara or Queen Ena’s Cartier Pearl Tiara.

My bid for the German State Visit to UK

Queen Camilla : Burmese Ruby Tiara.

The Princess of Wales : Strathmore Rose Tiara.

The Princess Royal : Festoon Tiara.

Duchess Sophie : Wedding Tiara new version.

Duchess Birgitte : Iveagh Tiara.

I think the Girls tiara would also go very well with the Love Trophy Collar. And i guess it would suit Catherine better, then Camilla. But i doubt she ill get to wear as it seems to be a Queens tiara by now.
I agree that it doesn't seem right for Camilla. Too delicate or something? She looks best in the Greville, imo.

The German sash is red so this is the perfect time for Camilla to bring out the rubies again and debut the Oriental Circlet.

The Burmese Rubies would match too!

Sophie pretty much has to wear the Wedding Tiara at something, or what was the point of revamping it? (Right? Unless Louise will use it at some point prior to marriage.)

I am quite content to never see Sophie's wedding tiara again. Perhaps she could reuse the Papyrus / Lous Flower tiara again.

After King Charles' accession, there have been in changes in the way they are distributing tiaras. But at the moment, the new pattern is not yet clear. I think/hope that they are moving towards sharing some of the smaller tiaras among them. But it might also be, that long-term loans are being re-shuffled. So I would like to see another hint that clarifies the new situation. Catherine wearing the papyrus tiara again, or Sophie returning to the five aquamarine tiara would be a great sign, imo. Catherine with the aquamarine tiara would be even better, but it seems that their strategy is to move slowly. They are evolving new customs instead of revolutionizing them.

So my guess is that we won't see any of the ladies debuting a new tiara. Camilla will probably wear the Burmese ruby tiara as it nicely fits the German sash. I expect to see Catherine in the lovers' knot tiara, but would love to see her with one of the other tiaras she has worn before. For Sophie I guess her aquamarine necklace tiara and for Anne her festoon tiara. So yes, I'm prepared for a slightly boring tiara show.

As for the visit to Spain, I think it's time for another outing of the floral tiara.

My wish for Spain is either Queen Ena's diamond and pearl tiara or the Shell tiara. Both have been worn only once by Letizia

Isn't the Mellerio Shell Tiara owned by Queen Sofia?

Yes but so is the floral tiara which has been worn by Letizia plenty of times. Both have been Wedding gifts to Sofia, the shell tiara from the Count and Countess of Barcelona the floral tiara from Franco

I think Letizia only wore Mellerio Shell Tiara just the once as Princess of Asturias and so far not as queen consort.
Letizia seems to favour the Spanish Floral tiara and it also really suits her too.

I really hope that Camilla makes a nod to the German (Prince Albert) connection of Queen Victoria's Oriental circlet tiara for the German visit - seems highly appropriate

Could also be the Albert sapphire brooch for the welcome Ceremony. She wore that at the SV to Germany

Very likely we will see that again … but Camilla let’s go overboard and give us sparkle watchers something extra to be excited by this year!

For the SV from Portugal to Spain in December, I predict Letizia will wear the Fleur de Lys tiara.

She only hasn't tried the aquamarine monstrosity
Which I actually think I might like a lot better on her- her hair can cope with huge tiaras better than the late Queen.

So with a day and a bit left, any guesses on what the BRF ladies might wear for the German state banquet tmrw?

For Queen Camilla, I am hoping we will see rubies to match the red sash of the German order. If we are lucky, we might see the Oriental Circlet, but I would be content with the Burmese ruby as well.

For Catherine, I hope we get to see her wear a grand necklace; any of the Nizam of Hyderabad, the Greville ruby bandeau necklace or the Queen Alexandra wedding necklace would be a treat.

I suspect we will see Anne in the Festoon, and I hope Sophie wears the Lotus Flower again.

I suspect we will see Anne in the Festoon,
We will get to see Anne twice in a tiara as she will attend the Guilhall Banquet on the second evening. I guess we will see the meander once, as i think she hasn't worn it this year so far.

It would be great to see the Meander in use again, it has been some time since it has been seen.

I'm thinking that we haven't seen the Floral tiara in sometime and we may see it worn at the Portuguese Gala.
It seems she goes now for the bigger tiaras most of the time. Has it confirmed that the portugese Visit will be a State Visit?

We should know this Friday when the court website is updated

I have a feeling that this will not be a State Visit, and the new President will make on early next year after taking office

Just saw some pics from the 1998 State Banquet and for me interesting is that QEII then choose to wear the aquamarines. And one of the few time she choose not a white evening gown but a turquoise/light blue one.

QE2 was not averse to wearing coloured gowns for most of her royal career. It was only the last 15 odd years that she adopted the white / cream / gold uniform, perhaps for ease of pairing with sashes of different colours.

But she had to pair her gowns with the different sashes before so it is odd that from around 2000 she settled for only white gowns

Fair point. Its very difficult to work out why QE2 went down the white gown route when she did. In fact, Camilla, as Duchess of Cornwall, followed the white uniform as well for the last 7-8 years of QE2's reign.

What we do know is that, despite having largely adopted the white gown uniform for state events, for private events, QE2 was not averse to wearing gowns in different colours.

Tomorrow is Nobelfest in Stockholm, so here my final guesses:

Silvia: Nine Prong
Victoria: Baden Fringe
Sofia (if attending): her wedding tiara, maybe with a new gem
Madeleine: Modern Fringe
Christina: Six Button

Nobel Laureates Dinner:

Silvia: Leuchtenberg Sapphires
Victoria: Boucheron Laurel Wreath
Sofia: the same tiara
Madeleine: Connaught Tiara
Christina: Aquamarine Kokoshnik
