Timing is everything! Glad to see the warm reception the couple is receiving!
I agree Alisa. I'm thrilled that they are receiving a much better reception this time. I also believe that Their Majesties behavior during their previous joint visit to the region, has earned them some respect too.

I am sure Elena enjoyed having both her children by her side.

Queen Letizia is buying and wearing clothes and accessories from small shops in Valencian towns affected by the DANA. For brands, it is an important advertising campaign in the media and social networks.

Hortensia Maeso: «After the DANA, Queen Letizia contacted us to show her support»

Letizia buys a new dress in a Valencian shop: “I am very grateful for the gesture. Given the situation we are living in, it is an important help”

Covadonga Ferrer, the artisan who made Queen Letizia's earrings and lost her workshop due to the DANA: "When I saw them on her, I felt like I could make them"

On October 29, Covadonga Ferrer saw how her jewelry workshop was swallowed up by mud. Just over a month later, Queen Letizia today wore earrings made by her.

This afternoon, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attend the mass for those who died in the floods caused by DANA, which will be celebrated in Valencia Cathedral.

A very solemn day for the city after the horrific and apocalyptic scenes from late October!

Wonderful appearance by Their Majesties, which probably provides the answer to why they were not at Notre Dame de Paris yesterday.
I applaud them.

They had lunch at the Albufera restaurant in El Palmar and observed how the Natural Park has been left after the DANA

After lunch, they visited Picanya.

The King and Queen continue to visit municipalities affected by the dana. After Picanya, the royal family made a surprise visit to Alaquàs. In Alaquàs, they visited a Christmas market located next to the Castell.

Queen Sofia visited the headquarters of the Valencia Food Bank on Tuesday to learn about the work and social response that the organization is carrying out with the most vulnerable people affected by the Dana tragedy.

Queen Sofia attended a charity concert in Valencia in support of the DANA victims this evening, February 3:

Yesterday Queen Letizia wore a dress from a shop destroyed by the Dana. It's the same dress she wore to the funeral for the victims back in December but then she had the gold buttons changed to black ones. The store owner recognized the dress back then but didn't feel it was appropriate to announce it.

She received the dress full of mud after the Dana (picture at the link: https://images.ecestaticos.com/xLtK.../5aa/931/64b5aa9310ba696cdb319d4d29985d59.jpg ) because nothing was working in the town where the shop is located. The shop hasn't been able to open yet, the works to repair the damage start in April.
