The Royal Family Order (RFO) and other Royal Orders and Decorations 2: Sep 2022-

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
At the Qatar state banquet tonight all of the royal ladies wore Elizabeth and Charles RFO with the the full ribbons attached except for Camilla. She wears Queen Elizabeth's more like a medal, it looks like she's taken a pair of scissors to it and chopped half of it off.
Catherine also wore the QEII family order that way to the diplomatic reception last year, so i guess it is just a personal choice in how you want to wear them…

It will be interesting to see how Catherine wears her orders in the future as she now also has the Order of the Companions of Honour, wich is also generally worn as a bow in the female version.

So far we are aware that the following now have the RFO of Charles III

The Queen
The Princess Royal
The Duchess of Edinburgh
The Duchess of Gloucester

Possibly the Princess of Wales?

I hope Princess Alexandra has been given one, which would make her the only royal lady to have 3 family orders - GVIR, EIIR and CIIIR.

Unfortunately we will probably never know as i think the days of her attending Galas are unfortunately gone.

I just think it looks odd if they are worn in different ways. If Camilla had worn the blue RFO in the same way she wore the yellow one it would have looked OK and vice versa. The other ladies looked better as they wore them both in the same style, indeed they wore them as they have always been worn in the past by every royal lady before. I don't get this removal of the lower part of the ribbon.
