Nice dress, dont like the high neck, and the hair is a miss for me.
 
Sorry not a fan. Gives me old furniture upholstery vibes with the pattern, and even the color.

The high neck and the hair being down is a major miss. With the tiara and the neckline, proper updo would have helped the look.

I'm with you, looks like she found one of Queen Mary's old frocks in an attic chest and pulled it out for the evening. I also think that if you want to look that old fashioned then at least wear an up do, the ultra long hair isn't great with anything, but it totally jars with a dress like this.

At least it has been nicely ironed and not all creased since it has been in a chest in the attic.

And your question has what to do with a Kate fashion discussion? My taste if I like what she wears or not the topic of this thread. Seems people look at fashion like 'you don't like your clothes its attacking their character'. No I just don't like her dress or hair style.

Surely it is everything to do with the thread, I never suggested for one minute you were attacking her character or anybody elses for that matter, why did you think I was. I just wondered if it is her overall style that you didn't like or was it only certain outfits or colours or hair styles, maybe I should have been more exact with the question rather than just a general do you like anything she wears. It could be that you do not like her choices in evening wear or day wear or both or maybe certain designers she chooses. It was just a question not an interrogation.

Has she worn her up much since her illness, does it give her a headache, I do not know ,I must admit I have wondered as well, but she maybe just likes it.

I am sorry you thought I was grilling you, it was not intended, I just find it interesting how we can all look at the same outfit yet have different views on it. Some liked the dress but not the hair, some liked everything some liked nothing. It is what makes conversation.
 
The evening gown is spectacular. Since the neckline is high, I don't really mind her hair down even though my usual mantra says " UP AT NIGHT IS ALWAYS RIGHT".😉

The princess hit this one straight out of the ballpark...the best dressed of the evening imo.
