The Princess of Wales wore a grey check trouser suit today for her visit to RAF Coningsby.

I agree 100% but I will add Catherine has a fantastic hairstyle.

lol- I predicted she’d be wearing a suit in advance. She looks very nice. She must have every color in the rainbow now.

I get that she wants a professional look, but maybe occasionally wearing a pencil skirt instead of slacks with the jacket or something would be nice. Or slacks and a top, but not a suit.

I am not a fan of this colour. I agree with Erin9 that she needs to introduce a little more variety in her wardrobe.
Much as I have enjoyed watching her fashion choices over the years, I really wish she’d take a fresh look at her working wardrobe. A newly styled, shorter haircut would be a lovely new start .

To me the suit needed a contrast with the top under the jacket - but she is favouring these block colour looks a lot this year.

I concur, the suit and the colour are fine. I do think the overly styled hair is becoming a bit much. Perhaps its time to trim it a bit, and perhaps tone down the styling for regular engagements.

If ladies go for a single-colour outfit during the day, I’d prefer they wear a dress or skirt, because at least that shows some contrast with a bit of skin. But with trousers, you end up being the same colour from neck to ankle (and sometimes even the shoes), and that’s just too much! Apart from this green suit, her grey suit also followed this single-colour look.

That is just not a good color on Catherine, at all. Hard to make things better when you start with that.

I'm not remotely a fan of mustardy greens, so I find this outfit to be absolutely hideous, sorry. It might be tolerable if she had worn a contrasting top in white or black, but the single tone look is a solid thumbs down from me.
