They don’t award these things on a year-by-year basis anymore, even if you do something groundbreaking. The backlog for the science prizes (and probably the econ one, too) of “people who’ve done stuff to deserve the Nobel” is years long at the point; that’s why people get them for research and discoveries they did decades ago. It’s not about gender.So only 1 female recipient this year (litterature prize)
