AMMAN: On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) launched its annual 'Towards Life' campaign for the seventh year running in partnership with Zain - part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa.
The 'Towards Life' Campaign enables the general public to contribute their Zakat to underprivileged, Muslim cancer patients receiving treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). KHCF launches 'Towards Life' campaign - Arab News

Princess Dina marks World Cancer Day in Geneva, Vienna

AMMAN (JT) - HRH Princess Dina Mired, director general of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), on Friday attended a World Cancer gala organised by the Union for International Cancer Control in Geneva on the occasion of World Cancer Day, and separate event held by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna on Sunday. In her speeches at both events, Princess Dina highlighted the importance of World Cancer Day, which is dedicated to taking the necessary measures to get the World Cancer Declaration adopted by the UN to make cancer a priority on the world health agenda, a KHCF statement said. In Geneva, the Princess thanked the organisers for their work in uniting global efforts to combat cancer, the statement said. In Vienna, she thanked the IAEA for their Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy and their collaboration with the King Hussein Cancer Centre. AT A GLANCE | Jordan Times
