The Future of the Danish Monarchy

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Now that Denmark has absolute primogeniture they should name a daughter born in place of a Frederik Frederikke (the Danish female form of Frederick) and a daughter born in place of a Christian Christina (the Danish female from of Christian). Not sure if that would make the regnal numbers gender-neutral.

It would be lovely if future female monarchs could be integrated directly into the numbered sequence as you propose. On the other hand, now that an accidental tradition of naming female monarchs Margrethe has arisen, part of me would like to see it continue.

Nobody is going to get up in arms over if the very privileged future children of Isabella and Josephine will carry a noble title or not.

This seems to be a reiteration of your previous comment (which I addressed in the post you quoted); did you mean to expand on the point you made?

l suppose I will clarify the second part of my previous post, although you did not quote it:

"But the general public is unbothered by the 2008 Count(ess) of Monpezat creation specifying succession in male line only, and even preferred the late Henrik being only a Prince as consort while Mary is Queen, so I agree with you that they probably will be fine with Vincent's male gender giving his family additional privileges, at least as far as titles are concerned."

that in my assessment, the public would still be unbothered by Vincent's very privileged children being given additional privileges due to sexism even if Isabella and Josephine's children weren't also very privileged.

Vincent, as Count of Monpezat, already can transmit his title of nobility to his children under Danish nobility rules. The problem lies with Isabella and Josephine, who are countesses, but cannot transmit the title in maternal line. So, new titles would have to be created specifically for their children, or else they would be disadvantaged compared to Vincent's children, which probably would not be acceptable nowadays.
Are there any Danish noble titles a woman can share with her husband and children? Or will whatever new title Frederik may invent be the first one where that’s possible? Isabella, Josephine, and Athena will lose the title of countess of Monpezat if they marry so it would be nice if Frederik gave them a new noble title that can be shared with their spouses and children.

and even preferred the late Henrik being only a Prince as consort while Mary is Queen
I would assume that for the next male consort they’ll style him HRH The Prince Consort rather than HRH The Prince from the start. Unless they (hopefully) see Henrik as a cautionary tale and decide that a future male consort should be king consort or at least HM, it’ll be a while till we get a new male consort anyway assuming that Christian marries a woman and hopefully by then they’ll realize that there’s no reason for male titles to be above female ones. Imo if they don’t want to make a male consort king consort HM The Prince (Consort) is a good compromise.

Simply put - No. At least not according to the conventions of the Association of the Danish Nobility which states that "A noble person is one that's born within a marriage to a noble father".

The Monarch has the right to give females, in this case Athena a title in her own right. But she cannot pass it on as the rules of nobility are at present.
That may change of course, but I don't think so. There is no public call for changing the rules of the nobility in Denmark, because few care, and even less really understand why the rules are as they are.
The problem with nobility (and royalty) is that by their very nature they are about anything but equality. According to Danish law the nobility have no privileges. They are all ordinary citizens, who just happens to have titles that a monarch bestowed on them, often centuries ago.
I hope and I believe that King Frederik will one day give Athena a title of her own. I think that would be met with public approval.
She will remain a komtesse as well until/if she marry, but that doesn't prevent her from becoming say Countess of Marselisborg or whatever.

Continued the discussion of nobility in general in the thread Titled Danish Gentry and Nobles, here:

Where precisely are the rules of nobility codified? They are not found in the Constitution, and I cannot find a Law of Nobility such as exists in the Netherlands or Spain.
