Maybe I’m an idiot but I don’t see what Invictus has in common with the football match or, even worse, with the school children.
I get Harry’s desire for visibility but I find that by going all over the place he’s diluting the purpose of Invictus and transforming it into some sort of Sunday fair.

Also, again, maybe I’m narrow minded but I think children should be shielded a bit about what war does to people.

I feel so sorry for the women trapped now in Afghanistan, forbidden so many things that make life worthwhile. It’s so good to see those who have managed to escape and re-settle get terrific little treats like this through Archewell’s Welcome project and Mina’s list. And bringing these refugee women together for an enjoyable meal is admirable.
 
The only thing coming up in the next couple of months is the polo programme that Harry was involved with. That’s not a lifestyle show though. Meghan’s cooking and lifestyle show doesn’t yet have any release date so the Thanksgiving Day dinner doesn’t have any connection to that.
 
The Duchess of Sussex has requested an extension on her patent claim.

In August, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) rejected Meghan's attempt to trademark her goods.

She was given three months to address several issues, including the prohibition on trademarking geographic locations.

According to The Daily Mail, Meghan has now requested three more months to fix them.

I was wondering what is real of such blunder... Meghan was fulfilling the requests by herself and didn't get through or her staff is so incompetent or simply she did on purpose because the businees won't start (no production lines, no Sales staff, ect) ....

I had hoped that the African Parks board would have required additional training for its rangers as well as a firm set of consequences for abuse after the last round of complaints. Unfortunately it appears that might not have happened.
I agree that Prince Harry needs to reconsider his involvement with African Parks.

It goes back to why it was announced before it was ready to go. It wasn't just a lack of stock, with nothing to sell ,but the trademarking was still to be secured. I know there have been comments that there was band wagon jumping going on to link to other events, but I always thought Meghan was a bit more savvy than that. Yes jump on a bandwagon but have everything else in place. Especially now if there is a question mark over the name.
Also am I correct in saying the Lifestyle programme was to be linked to the website for promotion, sales etc. How can that go ahead with no products or website.
Maybe I am missing something.

I find the funding of their foundation facinating. IIRC, the $2 million they raised last year came from only two donors. And this year, the $5.3 million came from only six donors, one of whom contributed $5 million of that total. I'm curious why they don't have more donors and surprised that they don't accept donations from the public at large. Their supporters have raised money on their own for charitable contributions in the Sussexes' honor, so surely they'd want to contribute to Archewell if they could. I wonder why it's not an option.

That said, I personally would never contribute to an organization whose charitable contributions totaled less that its expenses for the second year in a row. Giving away $1.3 million seems laudable on the surface until the article reveals that Archewell paid $997,000 in salaries and another $1 million in expenses, including legal fees, event costs, and travel. I don't have any quibble with the work Archewell does, but it doesn't seem like an efficiently run charity at all.
 
And People's spin is that they had 'significant growth' - well, yes, they had one good friend with a lot of money. But receiving 6 million (from 6 donors) to give away 1.3 million and spend 2 million on your organization to do so is unbalanced - to say the least.
 
London is a whole eight hours ahead of LA. If something gets published in LA in the morning it’s almost evening of the same day in the British capital. Neither BP nor Archewell, which published their financial report consult each other’s timetables, and why should they, they are completely different entities.

The Sussexes have been gone from the royal working rota for five years. Archewell isn’t obliged to consult the British Court Circular every time a communication is published.
 
It isn't really a charity. They are just a middle man. Take money and give it to charity. And to be honest I don't think they are getting the charities the right type of publicity either. But any attention is good attention and all that.

Many such 'charities' just seem to exist to enrich the founders. It's disgusting to have so much money expended on administrative costs.

These separate, solo engagements remind me of the days of the late 80s when Harry's parents started doing the same thing with the excuse that they could do more engagements separately.

I have long believed that the Duchess of Sussex will somehow use her estranged father in a bid for attention. (Actually it crossed my mind that she could imply there was historic abuse as an excuse for going ‘no contact’ with him.)

But now I wonder if a holiday reconciliation could be in the works. It would be a wonderful, heartwarming story >>>

No news articles, to the best of my knowledge, have reported that the couple are divorcing.

The interviewer and the Duke appear to be conflating two different things: news articles about their increasingly independent professional careers (a subject which the couple's own spokespersons have briefed about), and speculation by members of the public as to the state of their marriage.

From the article:

Harry was asked by the event's founder Andrew Ross Sorkin about the public's fixation on their relationship.

'They're fascinated Meghan is in California right now, and you're here. There are articles left and right about: 'Why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren't you doing them together?'

The Duke of Sussex then dismissed claims that he and Meghan are struggling.

'Apparently we've bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We've apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it's just like, 'what?',' Harry said laughing.

'It's hard to keep up with, but that's why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls.

'Their hopes are just built and built, and it's like, 'Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes', and then it doesn't happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.'​
