Boris and the truth don’t mix, do they?Strangely enough, yesterday I had a very small piece of work done on an existing one; I’d forgotten how painful it was but luckily it only took five minutes.
Meanwhile, according to the Telegraph…

Like water and oilBoris and the truth don’t mix, do they?
I could say things like ‘when you are baited into lying to Parliament and then don’t resign about that but end up getting forced out over a different damaging set of lies…’ or ‘when you start your career as a journalist and are sacked for making something up’... (The sad thing is his great-grandfather was lynched as a journalist for writing the truth about something very dangerous and controversial... BJ seems to have gotten the wrong moral lesson, unsurprisingly.) There’s a hilarious Youtube video about him called Fight For Your Right (to Party) that I won’t post here, but features QEII(!), other lies, and makes the point more entertainingly.Boris and the truth don’t mix, do they?
Interesting quote from that speech,Report from Sky News from Jan 20th 2020 on private meeting between PM Boris Johnson and Prince Harry.

Prince Harry and Boris Johnson meet in private at London summit
The prince told supporters of his charity "the media is a powerful force" and that he and Meghan had "taken a leap of faith".news.sky.com
To be honest it wasn’t the grammar that took my attention. It was the turn around in what he said then to what he said later. This grammatical error always grates - should be “Meghan and me…”
He’s not the only royal to make it.
Frederik IX had heaps of tattoos and not just on his forearm(s), he also had a dragon on his chest. As far as royals with tattoos are concerned, the only senior royal I can think of, besides George V, was Queen Daisy’s father King Frederik of Denmark who had tattoos on his forearm. He, George V and Prince Philip were all naval officers though, and in their time it was primarily sailors who had tattoos. Princess Eugenie does have a very small one near her ear, I believe.
Yes, of course, and I totally agree.…pretty consistent for him.To be honest it wasn’t the grammar that took my attention. It was the turn around in what he said then to what he said later.
This is the Sussex thread, it is Harry that is being discussed.I’d say he is probably getting himself a tattoo. Plenty of people have them (especially males but younger females do as well) and Harry probably decided to join them. It’s not illegal and it’s doubtful that people will ever see it.
And no, no, no members of the royal family ever swear in front of others, not even the Queen!

He wouldn't be the first British royal with one. Didn't George V have one of more? From his time in the navy?I’d say he is probably getting himself a tattoo. Yes apparently he did have one that he'd gotten in Japan. Reportedly it was a tiger and a red/blue dragon for both arms.He wouldn't be the first British royal with one. Didn't George V have one of more? From his time in the navy?
His father had Maltese crosses on his arm done in Jerusalem and apparently George had the same thing done. There are even rumors his mother Alexandra had a snake tattooed on her wrist. He wouldn't be the first British royal with one. Didn't George V have one of more? From his time in the navy?
I've read that the polo series is filmed primarily in Wellington, Florida. That's the polo capital of the US. It's an extremely wealthy equestrian-based community. I don't think that the wealthier folks who spend time there want to be on film going about their "rich people" activities.
I have not read anything about Harry being in Wellington for filming. Maybe he's just a producer or narrator, hence why he's not in the promotional teasers.
I love how Prince Harry is showing up in person for all these events. Shows his dedication and involvement to these causes that are important to him. It's not easy but it shows his sense of duty and obligation to these charities and also the global initiatives/conferences last week in NYC.
It would be wonderful, but so many horrible things have been said and done. It will not be easy.Unpopular opinion:
I want Harry to come home to Britain. With OR without Meghan. He has left an open wound that hasn't healed. His rift with William is downright tragic. Charles would be so much happier.
I rarely post in the BRF threads now with the exception of Beatrice/Edo.
It just seems like the natural order of things in the British Royal Family has been breached.![]()
