No, that’s what you assume. None of this based in actually facts. In fact we have legitimate proof proving the opposite.

There was a period where we barely saw Meghan for two years and that literally didn’t stop people from moaning and groaning. Hack last year the media was all “where is Meghan?!” Cause she wasn’t in the public eye for a few weeks.

So it really doesn’t matter what she does. So at this point, good on her for doing what she wants. Mothers are allowed to work and have hobbies.

Shocking… I know.

I never made any comment regarding working mums. I was one myself, without Nannie’s.
Neither did I comment on a specific timeframe.
I am not assuming anything, I based my comments on clear photographic evidence where Meghan has appeared at events , also podcasts where she has spoken about her plans, make up, fashion , 1 million jars to be filled with her jam.
Children’s author, tv home maker,
1 book, 1 series split in to two blocks, then promoted as series 2.
walking red carpets.
Sending out gifts to ‘ friends’ that turn up on instagram.
Walking across car parks waving her wrist about.
Pearl ,oops it didn’t make it.
Twerkkng videos
Celebrating sport results , when a camera just happened to be switched on.
Favourite media outlets where sources have hinted at deals with Dior etc . that as yet have not happened.
We can agree to disagree

I am not sure if "cameo" necessarily means "as oneself". I'm certainly no expert on the technical terminology, but I often saw "cameo" used by journalists and the general public to describe any brief onscreen appearance by an actress/actor or character.

According to Wikipedia:

A cameo appearance, also called a cameo role and often shortened to just cameo, is a brief guest appearance of a well-known person or character in a work of the performing arts.

Short appearances by celebrities, film directors, politicians, athletes or musicians are common.

A crew member of the movie or show playing a minor role can be referred to as a cameo role as well, such as director Alfred Hitchcock who made frequent cameo appearances in his films (as @TLLK pointed out).

What’s the deal with Harry going to events? Charles, Camilla, and Sophie were all on engagements yesterday. So clearly the Royal calendar wasn’t of that much concern.
Agree, Remembrance Season has always been all hands on deck for the BRF. My speculation is that if things were not so bad between Harry and his family that this trip would be valued by The Firm and some of the events may even have made the Court Circular.

If Harry gets side-eyed for doing Remembrance-tide related work in a Commonwealth realm country in early November, what does that say about William scheduling Earthshot activities during the same timeframe?

I think anyone has the right to their opinion. Same facts can be interpreted to have opposite motivations, according to one’s views, experience, affinities. It is as it has always been, people are different.

What has Remembrance and Harry to do with Earthshot.

In our country, the press is currently very complimentary towards Prince William.

In contrast, Prince Harry's trip to Toronto received very little media coverage and didn't generate much interest.

For us, the two brothers are not in the same league, and this difference will only become more pronounced in the future. Harry is losing his appeal and now represents only himself, which no longer matters to us.
Harry represents "only himself", but he insists on pretending that he still has some kind of official role. Otherwise, why would he meet Canadian reserve troops on Remembrance Week?

The problem is that Harry doesn't seem to be able to refrain voluntarily from playing the "prince card", and governments around the world don't know how to deal with him and still treat him "semi-offficially" in some way. That is why it might be time to strip him of his royal titles and styles so that his position is clarified once and for all. There is no better time than now, when King Charles III has asserted his right to remove royal titles in his own discretion.

Harry was invited to go to Toronto to meet vets, medical experts and other military personnel nearly a year ago. He is attending as a vet himself and as someone who has always cared about veterans’ welfare, not as a member of the BRF.

The removal of Andrew’s royal titles follows decades of actions by himself and his ex wife which were and are oceans away from anything Harry has done or said in the last six years.

There are calls on social media for them to lose their titles and one or two journalists who write up for clicks, To be honest in the UK itself , I do not think the general public are all that bothered one way or another.
There might be more noise if they were coming back as working royals, appearing on the balcony, but that does not appear to be what they want, so as I say I would suggest a lack of interest one way or another.
The daily Mail 5 or 6 articles a day does not reflect the general publics view.
Other than possibly the people of Sussex who want it removed, there is a lack of interest in them.
I am not even sure if People magazine or US weekly are published here, so other than Hallo and Daily Mail multiple articles we probably would not here much about them, not as headlines anyway.

Prince Harry has apologized to Canada for wearing an LA Dodgers hat during the World Series, saying he did so 'under duress', as he was invited to the game by the Dodgers' owner, and thought it the 'polite thing to do'.

Various sources are reporting that Meghan has accepted a cameo role in a movie called 'Close Personal Friends', starring Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Henry Golding and Jack Quaid. This is being described as a return to acting, but she is apparently appearing as herself.
The movie is being produced by MGM Amazon Studios, and is currently filming in Pasadena. The story is about a regular couple who meet and become friends with a celebrity couple, and how the friendship then goes wrong.

According to this article, "the story revolves around an ordinary couple who meet a celebrity couple during a trip to Santa Barbara. Once the two couples become friends, tensions arise and the situation becomes awkward."
Oh, that's hilarious! This scenario reminds me of Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex's life.

So we all get it. Meghan's return to acting is by doing a cameo as herself. Is that because the acting skills are not there, or never were, and she can't convince us she can play a character?

Can't wait for the People magazine interview online where she's ask to elaborate what did it feel to play yourself in a movie? Would we be expecting Emmy and Bafta nominations for best performance by a celebrity in a made for Amazon sugar-coated generic Hallmark Channel-type script?
Maybe she will be asked in her podcast to consider her next project doing the remake of Madonna's Dick Tracy or maybe Katherine Hepburn's The Lion in Winter?

A cameo is not done to showcase your acting skills or lack thereof, its to showcase oneself. Therefore, she is doing a cameo to remind everyone that she's not Meghan Markle, actress, but Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex!

Harry continues his visit to Toronto today, where he met more veterans and joined in a creative arts class. He kissed a 91 year old lady’s hand!

We don't have "Remembrance Week". We have Remembrance Sunday, which is the Sunday closest to November 11th, Armistice Day/Remembrance Day, and we have Armistice Day itself. There's nothing special about November 6th, so there's absolutely no reason why William shouldn't have been presenting Earthshot prizes then.

Prince Harry has apologized to Canada for wearing an LA Dodgers hat during the World Series, saying he did so 'under duress', as he was invited to the game by the Dodgers' owner, and thought it the 'polite thing to do'.

“First of all, I want to apologize to Canada for wearing that cap. Secondly, I had no choice,” the prince said, explaining that he had been invited to the game by the Dodgers’ owner. He added that wearing the team’s cap seemed “the least I could do.”

As always, Harry is shirking all responsibility. He refuses to admit his lack of courage, and to now say he had no choice is an insult to the Dodgers, because he is essentially saying, “I didn’t want to support you.”

At a game, two teams face off. Meghan could have worn the Dodgers’ cap and Harry the cap of the other Canadian team. After all, Harry is a British prince, and Canada is part of the Commonwealth. It might have been more interesting and entertaining for the public if the couple had each supported a different team.

Furthermore, Harry hadn't understood that the invitation was for a match and in no way constituted an obligation to support the American team.

Sporting events are entertainment, so we are free to support whomever we want. Even if the invitation is free, we are not obligated to be subservient

Clearly, Harry didn't show the same respect to his 96-year-old grandmother.

When you think about Queen Elizabeth's final years and everything the Sussexes have said about the royal family, including unfounded accusations of racism and questioning the integrity of every family member without naming names…

Thankfully, the Queen passed away a few weeks before *The Spare* was published.

But now, Harry needs a positive image to try and regain the trust of the British public. A lost cause, in my opinion.

Another freebie, his life has turned into a free ride to promote other people/ business.

Good to see that Harry’s speech was well-received at the gala by vets and others. There are also some great photos of Harry enjoying himself earlier with very elderly veterans, who enjoyed some creative arts projects with him.

Well said! “I had no choice” was a tacky thing to say - bet he won’t be invited by the Dodgers again!

Meghan had the Dodger's cap and that's ok since she refused to stay six more months to start the process to become an UK citizen. She is 100% USA citizen except in the part on accepting royal titles.

Harry could have explained his situation to the people that invited him he, as an UK prince of Canada (per South Park's TV show that's his title!) he can't promote a rival team over his nation's but they are free to use his wife as a walking Dodger's billboard if needed. She's into this stuff.

I'm sure the Dodger's would have complied and just gift him the cap to be in his hands. But as the saying goes, do the deed and apologize later seems to be his default move on everything lately.

What a critical storm in the proverbial tea cup about the wearing of a sports cap! Harry apologised because he was asked about it in Canada. He used humour to explain it and that was accepted.

yep, there's enough we can rightfully criticize H&M for, but let's not get hung up over sportscaps, after all, i think we all agree he doesn't represent the RF and/or tbeir dominion anymore, so he can wear whatever sportscap he wants.

Agreed. I don’t think the sports cap thing is an issue either. Plenty of things I can criticize them on, but the hat isn’t one of them.

Since they live in CA, I assumed they were there for the Dodgers to begin with.

Thank you for the reminder that while there might be some additional events ie: Field of Remembrance which was held yesterday, that there isn't an official "Remembrance Week" in the UK.

That’s exactly what I think! Why apologize? As another poster said, not everything Harry does is wrong — that’s why I mentioned on the previous page that I didn’t see any problem with him wearing either hat. It was just a storm in a teacup.

But now? His apology insults both teams! It’s not the first time he’s turned a small issue into a bigger PR mess.

The problem isn't the choice to wear a cap, but the subsequent attempt to justify it by claiming it was out of obligation. It wasn't his choice. For a 41-year-old man, this behavior is utterly childish and cowardly. He needs to take responsibility and stop blaming others. That's my opinion.

Well, as a Torontonian, I didn’t find it funny — I actually feel a bit insulted now!
It’s fine if a Canadian (or anyone, really) isn’t into our teams or sports, but come on — you can’t say you’re cheering for us on one hand and then do the complete opposite on the other! I’m just glad most people in Toronto aren’t paying much attention to his visit anyway.

I don't quite care about his event decisions. If he wants to do these type of events during big royal events, he can do them, but I generally think that it's not the best decision, if he wants to be perceived as fully independent of the royal family. I saw quite a few articles that mentioned William, when Harry's plans were revealed and I think that would have been avoidable. IMO possible comparisons affect William less, because William is crownprincing. The press will mention somehow that the Crown Prince was in Brazil anyway, and his position won't change if he gets one frontpage less or anything like that.
Some might say that it doesn't matter what kind of press Harry gets, but why should an organization invite him then? IMO Harry needs good press about his work without the royals being mentioned, because his job is not as fixed. Moreover, his wife was in the news because of some alleged cameo, so there was something else in the news regarding his immediate family. I think even working royals try not to have two things in the news at the same time.

Also, I acknowledge that sometimes both family members could have events at the same time, especially if people live on different continents and don't work for the same firm, but it's been almost six years and I don't feel that I know Harrys USP besides "former working royal" yet. If I would be perceiving him as more independent from his former role, I think that these so called scheduling conflicts wouldn't stand out that much anymore.
