Random observation about not sharing the kids’ faces.

I was mindlessly scrolling through Facebook and saw a clip of some little boy. It was filmed from above so I could only see his full head of hair, eyelashes and nose shape. I saw maybe 2 seconds of it and scrolled past it. But a random thought popped up in my brain that he looks a lot like Archie. So I went back to the clip and sure enough the description said it was him.
So that’s that about keeping the kids safe and their looks private. A random lady living on the other side of the world recognized Archie from only his hair.

I fully understand why you would wish to keep your childrens faces private, I do not have an issue with that in any way. The problem is that it is Meghan herself who is showing glimpses of the kids, teasing the public and probably the paps. I am sure there is a good bit of money to be earned by a photographer who gets the shot. IMO she is making the children a target for photographers.

An odd filter but a lovely video of the Duke and his children. Though again more private moments than any royal -British or not- has ever shared before.
It appears that they have been amassing a large video library of the children to be released at the right time. The fact that those images, plus the maternity ward video and other pictures, are now being gradually made public might indeed be related to recent changes in their communications staff as some posters have suggested here.

I agree. Personally, I have greater respect for those US celebrities who choose to keep their kids out of the spotlight completely. I think that it gives the kids a better chance to grow and develop without the unrelenting harshness that celebrity exposure brings to their lives, particularly when they are in school. Of course being a royal means that Harry's kids were always going to be of interest to the pap's. However if he'd listened to those in his family and the palace with decades of experience in that issue, I think his kids images would have been better protected, even in the US. I suspect the Sussex kids will be dogged by paps throughout their childhood, even when at school.

I believe that the six people who left H & M's employment were perhaps forced out because of employment costs. Having a big payroll of executive-level employees is expensive. You even need a seasoned HR person familiar with California and perhaps UK employment law to oversee that.

I have read that the Sussexes have contracted with a company called Method Communications to handle their public relations. That means a monthly fee. Less people directly employed by them. just a company taking directives from them. I think that in the long run this is a good cost-saving measure.

I hope the link is OK.

I also like it a lot. Harry the Dad and the children cuddling, holding each other, showing love. It’s all terrific. A fabulous Father’s Day tribute.
Perhaps, one day, Meghan and Harry might get to the stage where they are able to mark Father's Day with a post on their respective fathers, ideally within the lifetime of those gentlemen.

This video features beautiful footage that demonstrates Harry's affection for his children.
It also shows close-ups of Archie and Lilibet's faces, from birth to the present day.
But for me, the question is, "Why now?"
Archie is 6 and Lilibet is 4, and we could have seen these photos a long time ago.

So I have an answer, for what it's worth: we're at the point where only children can capture the public's attention in a positive way, to the benefit of the Sussexes.
This is the beginning of the new communications team's work, and the children will soon be more familiar to us.
The ridiculous "let's gradually show more and more of their faces" strategy is clearly an attention-grabbing tactic.
I fear that from now on, their privacy will no longer be truly protected.
Too bad!
This video is timely and may well make us forget about the twerking video.

It's true, the royal family has never shared such intimate images of their family life and the warm, playful interactions between parents and children.

Even the Sussexes have told us they are very protective of their children and have left the UK to allow them to live a private life, far from the stolen photos.
And yet, today, they are the ones sharing the most intimate images of their children, of all the members of the royal family.
Incredible!

I agree with all the above, although I doubt anyone will forget about the twerking video in a hurry, much as they might want us to! :ROFLMAO:

I don't normally watch these clips but looked at this one, at face value it was very nice and pleasant. It was also IMO very carefully crafted to present that image again, of the perfect family life. What I found most enjoyable about the video was that MM was nowhere to be seen. I was fully expecting her to pop up at some point; but she didn't which made a nice change. I wonder if she was advised to stay out of it by her new team. Perhaps they have pointed out the pitfalls of over exposure.

Meghan shared a video of Prince Harry with his children to mark Father's Day.
One question comes to my mind and it regards the film crew who seems to constantly follow the "new royalty of Montecito"- are they paid the full hour or only half because they are allowed only to film the children's back head.... :ROFLMAO: Just asking for a collegue ....

I think their salaries increased very quickly, because this video gave us a good look at Archie's face.
Even though there's still someone working part-time, we don't really see Lilibet's face.

These seem all normal clips from a phone, that any couple will have recorded themselves. I imagine the Duchess may have recorded [some of] them.

I also think Meghan filmed all of this because it's a daily occurrence with their children. I can't imagine anyone else being there at that time, except maybe Doria.

What about all the staff they employ, are they based at the house. Is that their office as well as their home.

I would say that I'm a bit confused... the people left or were made redundant because Meghan had another genious idea and decided that she needs external agency instead of internal staff? Their actions are so frequently confusing and contradictory that it's hard to follow them... :devilish: Or may be the only purpose was to make some public buzz, to grab headlines once again and to look as important people who needs huge staff.....

I took it that the previous PR staff left and the Sussex's had to look for a new team to handle their PR.

Harry was asked by the German defence minister to deliver an address for German's Veteran's Day.

It sounds like this is the first ever Veterans Day celebration by Germany?! I was surprised to learn that they did not Veterans Day celebration before. Don't they have something similar like Remembrance Day, or something? Anyway, the video was made at the request of the German defence minister, so it seems to be a result of previous Invictus Game held in Germany.

If as a country you were the aggressor in World Wars I and II and feeling guilty for it, i.e. consider yourselves the 'bad ones', it is hard to 'celebrate' anything veteran or war-related unlike if you perceive your military history as being part of the 'good ones'.

It is indeed the first time since the end of World War II that veterans are being honored in Germany. There was no army for a long time. Whether such a day of honor should exist at all was and still is controversial, but it was decided by the Bundestag last year. Here is a link that explains the history better than I could.

In this context, it is of course fitting that Prince Harry sent a video message. I just find it strange that this fact was hardly reported in our press.
