From the article:
"The couple, who left their roles as senior royals in 2020, have dramatically revamped the structure of their staff to make it more like the hierarchical system that has successfully underpinned Prince Harry's family for decades...
Meredith Kendall Maines, a seasoned communications strategist ...will be at the helm of a team of 11, operating out of Montecito, California, and the UK...
The MoS can reveal the restructuring, which will see each senior appointee reportedly earning a six-figure salary, will include:
- The duke and duchess each having their own chief of staff;
- Harry launching his own as-yet-undisclosed commercial venture in the next few months;
- Meghan's lifestyle business, As Ever, expanding its range of products later this year...
And here we go. My take:
You want to tell me, the hired staff in the Montecito mansion, here in the very republic of the USA, is going to be an extension or lookalikes of a royal court in Europe? Please someone give me a sitcom! Oops we did had one on TV called
Green Acres with Eva Gabor as a
Meghan type of character.
Re the Team - now that's good news so Meghan, who is the boss in Montecito, can delegate and possibly listen to advice of people more experienced to run a f
or-profit-but-still-not-profit-in-that-tax-form enterprise. Will she listen? I always hope for the best.
Re the six figure salary - well, there goes the Netflix money and I hope the team has something to show this time around. A six figure salary in the USA is really not much after taxes. No idea if its $100,000.00 or $999,000.00 but each has to produce back for Meghan more than the salary she will pay them.
Each will have a chief of staff??? For what, to assign chores like feeding the chickens outside and driving them around?
A chief of staff in the USA needs a staff to start with, otherwise it's called a valet for Harry to tie his shoes and a lady in waiting for Meghan to dial her calls to Serena Williams and wait for pick up.
In conclusion, I wish them the best and I meant that for the staff involved. But I've seen this in the TV series from the 1960s called
Green Acres and I suspect we are watching a reality show in the making since so much people are now involved in the
Duchy of Montecito.
That's my impression, they need a crew to interact with to prepare us for a new reality show in the making as part of this rebranding. Good luck!
