How lovely and Denmark is so close especially from London. I remember St. Albans church quite well from a visit about 12/13 years ago this year. It is a well kept and twee little British style church sitting not far from the water and you can start a walk towards the Mermaid if I recall correctly from there. I didn't know it had a Royal patron from here but it felt like a piece of home and I thought the connection to Queen Alexandra and Edward VII when young wasn't well known or reported in history coverage over here. I took about 300 pictures on that trip and lost them all about a year later :-( so I need to go back one day. I think they both have Danish family with a bit from his side also with Queen Alexandra. I visted a home village of one of my great-grandmothers last year that I passed through occassionally as a child even though she died a couple of decades before I was born. It doesn't feel that far back really as my family spoke about her. I personally always felt my grandparents parents' and grandparents where part of our family although I only knew one of them.

Ive seen pictures from an engagement related to hearings aids manufactured in Denmark that Duke & Duchess of Gloucester both wear.

Does anyone know if the Duchess still has family in Denmark? I wonder did she teach Danish to her children
