The Duchess of Sussex's Fashion and Style Part 1: November 2023 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I'm all for choosing not to wear figure hugging outfits if you don't want - but in that case pick things that look stylishly oversized not just ill fitting and at least pick things in the same shade if you are turning up to a fashion show.

IMO the baggy look does not suit , it overwhelms her, the white outfit isn’t too long as others have been.

Agreed.

I think more often than not Meghan wears clothes that don’t suit her. The baggy white outfit is a good example.

The black dress is a relatively rare example of a dress that really looks nice and suits her.

I wish Meghan would wear more colours. The dress would have looked lovely in a vivid blue, red or even white. However, she looks happy, the dress fits well and her hair is nice.
I agree. While this outfit looks great on her, another color (like turquoise) would have been more pleasing to the eye.I'm talking about the black dress
Meghan looks very pretty in this dress.
The complete opposite of the white dress.

Meghan markle at the Balenciaga show in Paris
A white sheet draped over off-white PJs.

@GondorHasNoPants made this fashion comment on the other Sussex thread and had me laughing because now I can't unsee it. All it's missing on that picture are the hair donut buns on each side:
It is a nice enough outfit, but I am still perplexed as to why she so often wears such loose, baggy clothes. She has a nice, slender figure, and looks so much better in tailored stuff.
I showed this to my hubbie, and he said it looks like something Princess Leia would wear...

Considering she's such a fashionista forward Californian, she forgot the American saying not to wear white after Labor Day (Sept 1st in the USA) * which is a well known fashion joke and tradition in this country.

* Per the article link: "...Labor Day signals the end of the summer, it meant returning to the city and forgoing white vacation clothes or "country" clothes for something more practical."

👗
My opinion on the Balenciaga-does-Star Wars-look, too baggy and it's a style I could see used my a male rapper going to a red carpet. The oversized arms don't do any favors to Meghan's petite and fit frame making the arms look as if hanging from sticks. The cape over it drags, literally, the attention to what's underneath which is basically a white pajama.

I wonder if this was decided for her by the hateful ex Vogue editor, who controls everything around her. Meghan doesn't strike me as the type of celebrity, who is complimented on her figure and health food habits, to be covered by a bag on her first trip to Europe in 2 years. It's Paris, not Star Wars' Coruscant.

This doesn't look like a Meghan Decision but more of the ex Vogue editor imposition on her choices so she would allow the duchess to be photographed in her royal Vogueal presence next to her.

The white outfit in Paris was awful - so many layers and oversized stuff going on

Once again I cannot find anything positive about Meghan's appearance. She looked as she prepared at the last moment for the evening- she took the first thing from her closet, she didn't care of her heir but the remaining time she dedicated to put a lot of bronzer of her face..... A lot of bronzer.... and what it's this necklace? nothing elegant... So the whole look is a big NO from me.... .

Is the Duchess of Sussex wearing a top under her jacket?
Good heavens I hope so!

I like this outfit. The pants are a little loose, but not overly so. The jacket appears to fit well. The absence of a top would raise some eyebrows if this was a royal appearance, but I think it's fine for a celebrity event. I give it a 6 or 7 out of 10.

I actually think this is a good outfit - the black suit is smart and wearing it without a top works for the evening. It’s an expensive suit - but after a little digging I found an article which says it’s a rewear from a few years ago

What I don’t like - the necklace (personal dislike of gold chunky pieces) and the hair so messy

A little more information on the black silk suit and accessories.

I agree that this suit is well tailored for Meghan.

Agreed. I looked at the outfit and thought: she’s wearing something not oversized. It is well tailored. And it does look nice.

I personally don’t like wearing a jacket without a top, even for an evening event. It looks fine. I just don’t care for it. If I wanted to glam an outfit up for an evening event…..I’d just go in a different direction.

I’ll give her a 7 simply because she’s finally wearing a regular-fit suit. The messy ponytail and no top aren’t doing her any favours, but I’ll turn a blind eye to the rest of the mess since at least the outfit fits properly this time.

A nice classy suit. The lack of a top works well with the chunky necklace.

Meghan looks lovely in the black suit. As others have said this outfit is well-tailored. An all over elegant look for evening, and I love the necklace.

This is a nice outfit. I like the colours, and the belt-shoes coordination. But it would be even better again (IMHO) if the trousers weren't quite so long and loose, and not made of material that creases so much.

The trousers look as if they have fantastic pockets, though - that's always a win :)

Love that there's a bit of color in the outfit, she should wear blue more often

This is really one of her signature looks--blouse, rolled up sleeves, pants. Linen creases, one just has to accept the fact if one wants to wear it. She has opted to leave the "natural" make-up behind, which I think is a good choice for this outfit.

The suit is lovely and the necklace works with the outfit. Her hair, however, looks as if she pulled it back at the last minute.

At last a bit of colour, blue in the blouse! Hurray. Meghan looks great in this outfit, good natural makeup, hair, etc. I remember the blouse from Wimbledon, and prefer these pants.

I suppose the financial situation in Montecito's manor didn't improve since it has been few years that they cannot afford to buy a good iron for Meghan's clothes..... :ROFLMAO: It could have been a good look for Meghan if only the pants have been ironed.... :devilish:
