The Death and Funeral of Pope Francis

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Didn't see Duc and Duchess of Castro. I was expecting to see them.
Also none of the Greek RF, if we don't count the Duchess of Aosta, born Greek Princess.
In fact i think non reigning - non catholic royals did not attend.
There were several representatives from the non-reigning Catholic houses:
The Duke and Duchess of Calabria with six of their children
The Duke of Castro
The Duke and Duchess of Aosta
The Prince of Venice (Is that still his title?)
The Prince and Princess of Windish-Graetz (The Prince was there in an official capacity as one of the Papal Gentlemen)
Archduke Ferdinand of Habsburg-Lothringen

Edit - sorry I see that I initially misunderstood your post. No, there were as far as I know no non-reigning non-Catholic houses in attendance.

the newspaper didnt say anything new, just the fact that theyre were there, also no new pictures.

“Some thoughts from Pope Francis”

“I am happy…because I have a job!”

Some sweet and simple thoughts about life and the world.

Were there non-reigning non-Catholic attendees at other papal funerals?

Pope Francis' tomb is incredibly beautiful. Simple, essential, it conveys a sense of peace.
Its exactly as I had imagined it and it was all done in record time overnight.

Irish President Michael Higgins and his wife, Sabina, attended the lying in state of Pope Francis in St Peter's Basilica on April 25th
President Higgins has been in poor health and is now walking with 2 crutches ,his wife Sabina was visibly upset at the lying in State.
The President's second term of Office as President ends this November after 14 years.

I realized that, no worries. Amyway thank you for the list of non reigning catholic royals.
Just a question. You mentioned Duc of Castro. I thnk i did a mistake.
What about the Italian royal family Charles and Camilla with their 2 daughters Maria Carolina and Maria-Chiara ? Aren't they Dics of Castro? Or I'm wrong? I was wondering about their non attendance to the funeral. But i think i put a wrong name.

The Duke of Castro was present at the funeral, sitting next to Emanuele Filiberto: see these pictures. I didn't see his wife and daughters

Its reported that over 250,000 people had filed past the coffin of the late Pope at St Peters.
Sister Genevieve Jeanningros a French nun was spotted close to the coffin of the late Pope and crying.
Pope Francis and Sister Genevieve were close friends.

We may be close to see who his successor will be now but it still feels surreal that Franciskus is not ”The Pope” anymore…
