No offence meant but it's perfect for a funeral and that's about it.

I liked the hat and hairstyle. The black colour is a bit too harsh on Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

This is not one of my favorites either, but I wonder if she wore black because she was presenting the Queen's Vase in memory of Sir Henry Cecil - it has been less than two weeks since his death. They also observed two minutes of silence for him either on the first or second day of Ascot.

A minutes silence on Tuesday (the first day) was observed. I'll be surprised if that's the reason, Lady Cecil wore navy and cream.

She looks very lovely, adore the hat. The overall silhouette looks like maternity to me, however.

This is definitely a miss. The top is ill-fitting and loose, and the color overall is very drab. This would be good for a wake or a funeral, and that's about it. The hat is lovely, however.

Yesterday and today were both loose fitting. Both seemed to not be the usual choice we see from Sophie. I'm perplexed.

I did love the fabric and buttons of the top today - just not the style.

While I always love black this I too think looks maternity from long ago. I do like the hat. This top (jacket) could be remade to be really gorgeous as the fabric is great.

I didn't like the lace dress Sophie wore in Bulgaria. She's become so fit and slim, but the dress actually made her look thick around the middle. It was also too sheer. Otherwise, I think she's been looking great lately.

I am not a fan of that dress much either, and as someone said on another forum - it looks like lingerie.

I also think the embroidery is somewhat overdone on the sleeves, especially paired with the embroidered belt, but the hat and style are great.

I like the hat more than when I first saw it at the coronation anniversary service. I also like this hat more with this outfit than the hat she chose to pair with it for William and Kate's wedding.
Have to say I am a more details the better kind of a girl....
