The Casiraghi Family

A very sad day for them all. In the photos above you get a real sense that despite their father dying while they were so small Caroline maintained bonds with the paternal family.

It looks like Prince Albert possibly sent a wreath. In one of the photos Caroline is looking at a tribute and it seems like the ribbon reads “S.A.S Le Prin” and I can’t make out the rest.

The had Fernanda around for such a long time and she lived such a long life,it must have been a very sad occasion for them to say goodbye to the Matriarch of the Casiraghi family.

The emotions from everyone in those few photos are palpable. She must have been a wonderful woman. It has always been lovely to know that Caroline and her kids remained close to the Casiraghis, and it really shows in these pics.

I'm pretty sure you are right about that. You surely meant this photo.

The Flemish magazine Story has an article about Fernanda Casiraghi’s death. The journalist refers to her as ‘Biffi’ the whole article as it was her nickname.
I’ve never read that before. Biffi was her maiden name.

The journalist was Mario Danneels, the author who wrote Queen Paola’s biography that uncovered the existence of Delphine Boël.
