The Queen should also have attended, but Margareta Thorgren told to Svensk Damtidning, that the Queen has a mild cold with a cough. She doesn't want to infect the others at the gathering and doesn't attend. The decision was made during the afternoon. She plans to attend the concert on Sunday.
That christmas concert at Stockholm Cathedral has now started with a friend of mine in the audience, who just told me that The King arrived without The Queen so she is probably still sick…

She has had a lot of bad luck with infections this autumn :(

The Queen is an old lady that has on and off during the last few years looked quite frail.

King Carl Gustaf and Crown princess Victoria met Prime minister Ulf Kristersson today at the Royal Palace.
The King meets regularly with the Prime minister to inform himself about the government's work, and this time Victoria attended too.
 
The King, Queen and Victoria met today the Minister for Defence Pål Jonson and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard at the Royal Palace. The ministers provided information on current foreign, security and defence policy issues.
 
King Carl Gustaf and Victoria met the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Royal Palace today.

The United Arab Emirates was the largest Swedish export market in the Middle East in 2024. Over 200 Swedish companies operate in the country.

The King and Prince Daniel met yesterday Anna Iwarsson, the chairwoman of the Swedish Sports Confederation.
Anna Iwarsson told about the strategic work ahead to strengthen sports in Sweden, especially among children and young people. They also discussed the importance of creating an inclusive sports movement where more people have the opportunity to play sports.

The King and Crown Princess Victoria met yesterday Thomas Nilsson, Head of the Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must). They were informed about the ongoing activities and developments within Must.

The Royal Court updated to its calendar today that the King, the Queen, the Crown Princess Couple and Prince Carl Philip attend the official dinner tomorrow:

Earlier this week, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Prince Daniel met with the president of the Swedish Sports Federation, Anna Iwarsson.

The King and Carl Philip attended today a board meeting of the Stenhammar Estate Management.

The King and The Crown Princess Couple held yesterday a diplomatic reception for foreign envoys at the Royal Palace.
The reception was attended by ambassadors from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mongolia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Swiss Confederation and the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
 
The King and Victoria met today Anna Wieslander, the Director for Northern Europe at the Atlantic Council. She provided information about, among other things, current foreign and security policy developments in Europe and in the transatlantic relationship.

In the evening the King and Victoria attended the Royal Court Parish's Assembly evening.
The Royal Court Parish is a non-territorial parish in the Church of Sweden and consists of approximately 500 members. An assembly evening is held twice a year in the Bernadotte Library, and regularly attended by some members of the royal family. A lecture on some interesting topic is always given, and the Court Organist arranges the music. The evening ends with an evening prayer.

The King and the Crown Princess Couple today held internal meetings at the Royal Palace.
During the morning, the King received new ambassadors. Together with the Crown Princess, the King also met with Anna Wieslander from the Atlantic Council.
The Crown Princess also prepared for her upcoming official trip to Nigeria by having meetings with Minister Andreas Carlson and Görrel Espelund from the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.
Prince Daniel had meetings with Professor Gisela Nyberg from the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences and Mia Bernhardsen, Head of the Department for Business Skills Supply at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
The King and the Crown Princess ended the day with an Assembly evening with the Royal Court Parish.

The Fund provides grants to projects in the categories Sports & Health, Education & Learning and Social, Helping Activities that organizations, associations or other associations carry out for children and young people in Sweden.
The King is the Chairman of the Fund and Carl Philip Vice Chairman.

They never release such information, but it wouldn’t surprise me…

He must have something to do.. Princess Christina has also chaired funds during the reign of her brother.
 
The King, the Queen, Victoria and Daniel met on April 29 Director-General Anders Ahnlid from The National Board of Trade Sweden (Kommerskollegium) and Deputy Director General, International and EU Affairs Anna Stellinger from the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

Director-General Anders Ahnlid posted to his Instagram:
"Great honor that H.M. The King, H.M. The Queen, H.R.H The Crown Princess and H.R.H Prince Daniel on Tuesday gave an audience to me and Anna Stellinger from the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, to account for, and discuss the effects of, the customs chaos that the US has created. I informed about findings and insights from the work of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. Anna Stellinger explained the effects for Swedish companies. Appreciated receiving many questions and being able to discuss the situation with The King and Queen and The Crown Princess Couple."

The National Board of Trade is a Swedish government agency for international trade, the EU internal market and trade policy. Its mission is to facilitate free and open trade with transparent rules as well as free movement in the EU internal market.
 
The King, the Queen and Victoria met today representatives from the Swedish Institute (SI) and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to be informed about a new strategy for a stronger Swedish image abroad.
SI's Director General Madeleine Sjöstedt and her colleagues presented the new strategy, its purpose is to strengthen Sweden's international competitiveness, create trust and increase resilience against misleading information about Sweden abroad.
The King and Victoria attended today a meeting of the Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs.

Daniel, the patron of The 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships, was at Avicii Arena to watch the match Sweden-Canada, with Carl Philip and two ice hockey legends, olympic champions and NHL-stars: his friend Mats Sundin and Nicklas Lidström. Daniel's friends Patrik Vrband and Andreas Nylin were also there.
Daniel gave the awards to best players after the match. Canada won 5-3.

The King and Queen and Victoria held a diplomatic reception for foreign envoys at the Royal Palace.
Today's reception was attended by ambassadors from the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Spain, Malaysia, Japan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
 
King Carl Gustaf and Crown Princess Victoria attended an information council at the Royal Palace today, May 23:



On 23 May, an information council was held under the chairmanship of The King, in the presence of The Crown Princess, at the Royal Palace.
During the council, the ministers present informed about political initiatives, investigations and ongoing legislation within their respective departments and answered questions.
Information councils are held regularly and are chaired by The King.
According to the 1974 form of government, the Prime Minister is responsible for keeping the head of state informed about the affairs of the kingdom. Formally, it is the King who convenes the government for a council, but the decision is made in consultation with the Prime Minister.
