The Royal Court:
A group of war-injured Ukrainian children were welcomed to the Royal Palace by The Queen and The Crown Princess. The children, aged between 9 and 17, have all been injured during the war. Together with their relatives, they are now spending a few weeks in Sweden for recreation. The Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital at Karolinska University Hospital, Min Stora Dag and Beredskapslyftet are behind the initiative.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Sweden Andrii Plakhotniuk and his wife attended also the event.

Aftonbladet's Jenny Alexandersson's nice article about the Queen and Victoria meeting the Ukrainian children.
The children have experienced the horrific war up close. All of the children have been injured in some way by bombs, gunshots or grenades. “I was in a car with my mother and sister when the bomb exploded. I was in hospital for a long time,” says 15-year-old Kyrylo Nimchenko. His 10-year-old sister was also seriously injured in the explosion.

The King and The Crown Princess participated today in a symposium at Tekniska Museet in Stockholm in connection with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Royal National City Park.

The King gave a speech, where he said among other things:
"The royal responsibility for the park dates back to the Middle Ages and has taken various forms over the years. In 1809, Charles XIII was given responsibility for the “improvement and beautification” of Royal Djurgården. A task that has been passed down to me and my family. Preserving and developing the royal parks for our visitors is today a central part of the Court’s activities.
In recent years, a lot has happened here in the National City Park. Princess Estelle's Sculpture Park now enriches Djurgården with its expressive works of art. And Folke Bernadotte's bridge over Djurgårdsbrunnsviken has become a beloved feature of the cityscape."

The King's speech, where he said among other things
"It is a pleasure to once again welcome you to Stenhammars Gods and Stenhammar Day. A beloved tradition that has now lasted for two decades!
This year is also 60 years since my grandfather's brother, Prince Wilhelm, passed away on his beloved Stenhammar. In connection with his becoming a state tenant here, he said: "I had to take out a loan like everyone else. It was difficult at first, but now Stenhammar is doing well. And that even though I am a bad farmer, at best a wordsmith."
That brings me to today's theme, which is "Business opportunities and challenges based on animal health and welfare.""

The Öland Inhabitant of the Year is Pelle Aldestam."

The Öland Inhabitant of the Year is chosen by Barometern Newspaper.

The Council was called to discuss the meeting between Russia and USA regarding Ukraine on Friday.

Prime mininster Ulf Kristersson at his Instagram
"It could be a formative week for European security. Intensive European contacts with Ukraine and with the US in recent days ahead of the US-Russia meeting on Friday.
Over the weekend, I therefore called an extraordinary meeting of the National Security Council and a meeting of the Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs, with all parties in the Riksdag participating. Both meetings were held this morning.
How Russia's war against Ukraine ends will affect our security for at least a generation to come.
That is why Sweden is now carrying out a historic rearmament of the Swedish defense – it is fundamentally about the security of Sweden and Swedes. We are preparing for different scenarios.
During the week I will continue to talk with my European colleagues. No negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine, no negotiations on Europe without Europe."

The Swedish National Heritage Board tells about the King and Victoria's visit:
The visit began with a seminar on cultural heritage in crisis and war, where the Director General of the Heritage Board Susanne Thedéen received the King and the Crown Princess and approximately 70 specially invited guests.
In the second part of the program, the King and the Crown Princess traveled to the State Historical Museums. There, concrete examples of how preparedness and crisis management work at a museum were presented. A study visit through the museum's unique collections provided an insight into the work, including incident management and evacuation.

Director of the Royal Collections Margareta Nisser-Dalman was one of the participants at the seminar's panel discussion.

The dinner has still not yet been added to the Court Calendar. The Crown Princess Couple is finising their official visit in Korea that day, and will not take part I guess.

Hatt Couture is an exhibition about an imaginative accessory—the hat—worn by Swedish royals from the mid-20th century, the golden age of hats, to the 2000s.
For the first time, the Royal Armoury highlights and displays the museum’s royal hats – sophisticated, elegant, and glamorous turbans, pillbox hats, and berets. These have belonged to, among others, Queen Louise and Princesses Sibylla and Margaretha, and have been worn according to royal etiquette and in many well-known historical contexts.
The museum is also delighted to present an exclusive selection of royal hats worn by, and still owned by, Princess Christina and Princess Sofia.
