Indeed. But i still wonder why it is the outgoing President who makes a Visit and not the new President soon after taking over

I think this is a personal thing, they seem close friends even above politics and MRS wanted to officially say goodbye, to honor this relationship.

Its probably due to its being cancelled a couple of times and I always thought of it as more of a Farewell Visit.
