Lizzie and Phil seem to be joined together with crazy glue don't they? It seems nothing can break them.

I'll add King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia too. They have been through a lot in life, they passed all that so I think they'll be together for life :flower:

The Crown Prince and Princess of the Netherlands.

As for Edward and Sophie, not so sure.. They arrived at Ascot in seperate cars due to traffic being 'congested.' I for one do not buy that...

I think that all royals from the "older generation" will stay married for life. They come from a different time with a different way of thinking. I think that for them, divorce is completely unthinkable. For all we know, they may not even like each other, but I don't think they will ever divorce.

Here is my list for the "younger generation":
Haakon and Mette-Marit
Cristina and Inaki
Joachim and Alexandra
Frederik and Mary
Philippe and Mathilde
Laurent and Claire
Astrid and Lorenz

The Danish couples ^__^

Mary and Frederik

Alexandra and Joachim

and well they've gone a long while....Elizabeth II and Phillip hahaha

From the older generation, most all of them, especially Elizabeth II and Philip. When you have been married to someone for almost 60 yrs and have had 4 children, divorce isnt the first thing that comes to mind.

As for the younger generation:

Edward and Sophie
Alexandra and Joachim
Willem-Alexander and Maxima
Phillipe and Mathilde
Henri and Maria-Teresa
Astrid and Lorenz

no one mentioned felipe and letizia in their list.....interesting :innocent:

I think Felipe and Telizia will be married for life, regardless of whether they remain as happy as they currently are. I doubt the Spaniards would be pleased with a divorced monarch and that would keep them together, if nothing else does.

Yes, they do seem stuck together with crazy glue. There must be something behind all of those rasist comments that we all can't see. :p

Haakon and MM
Caroline and E-A
Christina and Inaki
W-A and Maxima
Lartuian (sp) and Conjotisn (sp)
Margethe and Henrik

I think King Carl XVI Gustaf & Queen Silvia will also stay in their marriage for life. Their love has always seemed sincere, and The King was the first monarch in modern time to marry a "commoner" - which took a lot of guts. I think their relationship is really strong, as is the bonds with their children. I don't think they could split up and live separately.

I love CG&S. My favorite royal couple.....

Anyone have any thoughts about King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway?
-Kara-

Joachim and Alexandra
Phillipe and Mathilde
Willem-Alexander and Maxima

Harald and Sonja will definitely be together forever. They had to wait SO long before they were allowed to get married and they've already been through so much together (the King's illness).

QMII and Henrik will be together forever because, hey, she's put up with him for this long!!! :ninja: :p

I also think Philip and Mathilde and Joachim and Alexandra will be together forever.

Philippe and Mathilde
Joaquim and Alexandra

Especially Philippe and Mathilde, it seems to me that they appreciate very much family ties.

I hate to be negative, but I have my doubts about Martha-Louise and Ari. I'm not saying that they are not in love, because I really do think that they are. It just seems to me that this would be a couple who would not have any qualms about divorcing. I hope for everybodys sake that they never divorce, and I would be saddened by it if they do, I just really think that for them, it is a possibility.

I agree with you on Pavlos or Marie-Chantal. It would not serve the best interest for either of them if they were to divorce. After all, who wants to lose their title, or all of their money. :p Naw, they'll be together forever.

It's very interesting how many people thought Joachim and Alexandra would stay together...

I just thought the same Tinika :)
I hope that all royals married for life but nothing and nobody can affect that. Only time will know ;)

- WA and Maxima
- Philipe and Mathilde
- Mary and Frederik
- Henri and Maria Teresa
- Carl Gustaf and Silva
- Marthä Louise and Ari Behn
- Haakon and Mette-Marit

Willem-Alexander and Maxima of the Netherlands and Frederik and Mary of Denmark.

But I am not so sure about Felipe and Letizia of Spain...I don't think she IS in love with him...
