I can see Sir Gareth Southgate in the front row of the Royal Box, but no royals so far. It's very hot today, so probably not the ideal day to go - if you're lucky enough to have a choice!

Off to a great start. Nice to see Princess Beatrice with Sarah. Beatrice is getting high praise in the press for her fashion choice on day1 ( but that’s for another thread! )
 
It was an extremly hot day yesterday at Wimbledon, but with a quite a few interesting matches.
What an incredible opening on Centre Court with Alcaraz v. Fognini, with a nice turnout in the royal box as well.
 
Lady Rose Gilman was also there. Plenty of celebs from the worlds of sport and entertainment, but no senior royals.
 
Princess Michael of Kent in the royal box today, weirdly not seated with the chairman although being the highest ranking guest present.
 
I love the way, in recent years, the Royal Box has become part of the wider social scene and a place to be seen during an English summer. Such an interesting mix turn up these days. . But I love seeing the wider circle of royals who have appeared quite regularly in recent years, I wish the Princess Royal was more of a tennis fan. Not sure how reliable this story is about her aversion to the tournament.

Sporting royals today. The middle saturday of Wimbledon has now become associated with a royal box packed full of stars from across the sports. Many are introduced and roundly applauded by the spectators. I had the pleasure to attend Wimbledon on the middle Saturday a few years ago . I remember being star struck by so many Olympians who stood out for their tremendous physique.

I imagine he might be there tomorrow as well, to support Danish Clara Tauson, who surprisingly eliminated yesterday 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and will face former world no.1 Iga Swiatek tomorrow in the 4th round.

Thanks! I can't watch right now (following through the live score only), so I hadn't seen him obviously.
He still will have time to watch Tauson-Swiatek later (last match on court no.1).
